Established in 1961 by our founder, Late Syed Tafazzul Karim, Karim City College has now established itself as a leading educational institution across Eastern India.

After the sad death of our founder, his son Late S.M. Shafiq patronized the institution with a frontline leadership attitude. His death in 1992 created a vacuum that was successfully filled by our present trustee, Mr. Syed Ashfaque Karim, whose modern and progressive approach is taking the college to new heights.

Library

The university library has a rich collection of textbooks and reference books to support the educational needs of students and faculty. Every year, a good number of books are added to the warehouse. Efforts are being made to update the library and make it more usable.

The library has a faculty study (for teachers) and a separate reading room for students. It also has a central Xerox service for users where they can get copies of relevant books and reference materials at a subsidized price. With the help of UGC, the New Delhi College Library has launched a book bank scheme for the poor and the deserving. students

Common Spaces

Two separate shared rooms for boys and girls with table tennis, checkers, chess, board games, Chinese checkers, magazines, and newspapers. Indoor games like Carrom, Chess, and Table Tennis are organized for the students every year in the

Class E locations

The educational institution tries to use ICT (Information and Communication Technology) as much as possible to make the teaching-learning process more student-centered. Seven e-classrooms have been set up in the college, which generally have a projection, smart interactive whiteboard, and online services.

Canteen

The university canteen offers food at a reasonable price and is open on all working days.

Sports

Believing in the proverb "a healthy mind rests in a healthy body", the college has provided excellent sports facilities. The games and sports department of the college organizes various sports activities with the strategic support of TATA STEEL. Sports Officer Firoz Ibrahim gives special attention to nurturing better athletes in various games and sports.

Scholarship

Scholarships for students belonging to SC ST and OBC categories will be given by the district welfare department through proper channels. The college will send the applications of such candidates after due verification of the documents.

Free tuition is awarded to 12.5% ??of the total number of students on the university's list, based on relevant achievements. Great concessions in admission fees are given to poor and deserving students
Scholarships are awarded under UGC XII to SC ST OBC students and minority communities, economically weaker sections (BPL card holders), and physically challenged classes. according to the plan The college offers Rs. 200/month/month for purchase of books and stationery for 50 students belonging to the above categories.
