The KC Gurukul College of Education Library has a large number of books on various subjects about the B.Ed course. The books on general items and encyclopedias are available in the stocks of the library, sequentially accessioned. Educational magazines, journals, and periodicals have been subscribed to and regularly placed in the library. The National and local newspapers are made available to the students and teachers. The librarian is available for the issue of books during College working hours.

The library has been housed in a spacious hall where comfortable arrangements of study for 50 to 60 students are available in the reading room. No student is allowed to create indiscipline in the library, if any is found guilty is liable to be punished.

Hostel

KC Gurukul College of Education Hostel facilities for girls students are being provided by the college management. The non-local students should stay in the hostels. A form for admission to the hostel is available in the college. The hostel is equipped with modern equipment which includes good dining halls with proper furniture, proper cots, room, almirahs, availability of cold drinking water and appropriate crockery, and other necessary utensils. The rent charges for the hostel are decided by the university and the same will be charged to the students at the time of their registration as advised by the University of Jammu.

Building

The KC Gurukul College of Education building has an independent structure having two floors with varied instructional and essential facilities, spacious rooms, fully equipped with a proper electric connection, modern sanitation, appropriate ventilation, safe and broad stairs for easy movement of the students, and fire safety provisions.

Classrooms

KC Gurukul College of Education There is 8 number of Class Rooms with adequate seating capacity full equipment with light, display boards, blackboards, and arrangement for audio/video projection.

Multipurpose Hall

KC Gurukul College of Education has Two multipurpose halls available. These are being used for the conduct of various academics and training programs, the conduct of examinations, training workshops, seminars, induction courses, conferences as well as co-curricular activities.

Computer Lab

KC Gurukul College of Education has a computer lab with advanced PCs and server computers to provide regular computer instructional facilities is available.

Admission

Eligibility

Admission to B.Ed. course in different colleges of education in the state shall be open to those candidates who have passed the Bachelor’s Degree Examination in the faculties of Arts/Science/Social Science/Commerce/Management/Engineering/Medicine/Agriculture

/Veterinary Science/Forestry & Music and Fine Arts from the University of Jammu or any other statutory University in India and have secured at least 45% of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination in case of general category.

For SC/ST candidates who are permanent residents of J&K and belong to an area falling under the jurisdiction of Jammu University, the eligibility will be 40% of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

However, one sitting B.A. Degree (External Examination) conducted by any University in the country is not recognized for admission to the B. Ed. Course.
