The Kelappaji College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, the only agricultural engineering college in Kerala, is located in Tavanur in Malappuram District and is named after the freedom fighter and social reformer Sri K. Kelappan. This institution is part of Kerala Agricultural University. Kelappaji College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (KCAET) was established on October 2, 1985, under the Department of Agricultural Engineering and Technology. KCAET, the only agricultural engineering school in the state of Kerala, is located in Tavanur village on the south bank of the holy Bharathapuzha river. The college is named after the veteran freedom fighter and famous social reformer Shri. K. Kelappan is known as "Kerala Gandhi" because of his devotion to Gandhi's principles.

Library: 

The modern, fully automated library and information center is developing into an excellent center for educational resources and meets the ever-increasing informational and intellectual needs of university students, professors, and researchers. Library books are fully encrypted and the transaction is fully computerized. The library has a large number of volumes of foreign and Indian journals, B.Tech project reports, master's theses, and doctoral theses. The library portal makes all student reports available in digital form. The online library portal was launched as a one-stop shop for information for the KCAET community on the library intranet. The portal is designed as a one-stop shop for the Library and Information Center's vast wealth of information resources and services. About 30,000 books (DDC classification) are available in the library and it has internet access to CERA, CABI, INDIA STATE, and Science Direct. Services such as printing, scanning, online arrival services, and selective information dissemination are also available. 

Placement Cell: 

This college has an internship position with a placement service. The Placement Unit is committed to conducting job interviews on campus and providing suitable internship positions for students. Several private organizations and industries approach the college for on-campus recruitment. In addition, various training programs on personality development, career advice, etc. are regularly made available at the university to give students the opportunity to face competitions and job interviews in the best possible way. The work, information, and advice office is located at the DSW of our university. The bureau regularly publishes job bulletins with vacancies in India and abroad.
