Established in 2002, the KGiSL Institute of Information Management enjoys the industry-sponsored institute status, sharing the same ambiance and facilities as the sponsors, KGiSL.It is the brainchild of Dr. Ashok Bakthavathsalam, Founder and Managing Director of KG Information Systems Private Limited (KGiSL). Library:

Digital Library equipped with 5 multimedia systems to access subscribed e-journals and encyclopedias. Internet facility is provided to access worldwide information. Digital Library equipped with an e-book of 500 numbers to facilitate the students.24-hour Internet facility is available on all working days.

Auditorium:

The Institute has a well-furnished centralized air-conditioned auditorium with 500 seating capacity. The computer association seminars for the students are arranged here. Conferences and workshops are conducted for the students in the in-door auditorium and Faculty Development Programme and Internal Seminars are conducted at the auditorium. Alumni meets are organized at the end of each academic year in the auditorium. An open-air auditorium with a sitting capacity of more than 2000 numbers is situated within the campus. National-level intercollegiate meet to be organized in the odd semester for students of various colleges all over India will be conducted in the open-air auditorium. Annual day, Graduation day, etc are organized here.

Hostel Facilities:

Hostels for students reflect corporate fitness in design and functionality, with separate infrastructure for men and women. The campus hostels are again an opportunity for cross-integration of student learning with corporate life where the student can share knowledge and learn from his mentors the workplace competencies. We have separate hostels for men and women viz. KGiSL-Boys Hostel &KGiSL-Girls Hostel.

Admission at KGISL Institute of Information Management

Master of Computer Applications program is a two-year course and is spread over four semesters and which enables the candidates to get familiar with the usage of computers using at-least five latest programming languages and a large number of applications. The course also develops the student’s capabilities in the preparation of system software. The students undergo mid-term projects in industrial organizations. The placement cell helps the students in finding suitable placements. The course content is updated every year and includes State-of-art evolving subject areas such as web services. Passed BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree.ORPassed B.Sc./B.Com./B.A. with mathematics at 10+2 Level or Graduation Level (with additional bridge Courses as per the norms of the concerned University).Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.
