About Kakinada Institute of Technological Sciences

Kakinada Institute of Technological Sciences (KITS), Ramachandrapuram was founded in 2008. Run by Raja Ratna Healthcare and Educational Trust to provide technical education byeccellenza al Rural & Student semi-urban dei distretti di East Godavari, West Godavari, Visakhapatnam et Srikakulam. The college was located 5 Km from the distance of Ramachandrapuram town, and 20 km from Kakinada, the headquarters of E. G. Dt (A.P) the College has a serene environment, ideal for an effective teaching-learning process. It has a sufficient infrastructure with an administration block of 24,000 sq. ft. It Facilitates an AC auditorium, AC conference room, well-equipped labs, free internet with 70 Mbps leased lines, a world-class Library server with 2.5 to back up area, an A.T.M. H.T. Powering two generators with a capacity of  100 kva, excellent canteen to meet the needs of students and staff.

Residential Accommodation

The hostel is on campus. There are 32 living rooms which can accommodate 5 students in each room, provided with a writing table, chair and a cupboard. There are sufficient toilets, bathrooms and washbasins with running water. There are two dining halls and a modern kitchen. There is a beautiful chapel also on campus to meet the spiritual needs of the inmates

The Library

The main library is located in a separate block which houses over 54,000 volumes and has provided 12 issues of journals run by two qualified librarians and support staff required 12 hours a day for 6 days and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sundays. It is being edited for automation. In addition, a bank of books of more than 3000 volumes is available to students for the loan of categories BC, SC and ST. These books are purchased with funds provided by the Department of Social Security. Additionally, each of the engineering departments has departmental libraries to reduce the burden on the central library and for the convenience of the staff.

Computer Lab

The Department of Computer Science has a wide range of computing resources and laboratories available to support its educational and research missions.

Canteen

This place is very comfortable for all the students to relax for a while. Here are available not only tasty snacks but also stationery and other personal things.

Sports

Sports and Games play an important part in every student’s life. They give much recreation and relaxation in one's hectic schedule. At our college, sports are included in the academic curriculum to encourage students in various co-curricular activities. We have annual sports meet every year and students of the college also participate actively in various other tournaments outside the college. Many of our students brought laurels to the tournaments conducted outside. The management also encourages the students by giving various prizes to the winners in the annual Sports Meet competitions.

Transport

For security and added comfort, we provide buses for the transportation of our students. The routes and pickup points are laid out, and you are requested to follow the timings set for the pickup.
