Kongu Hi-Tek Polytechnic College is established in the year 2012 and is founded by The Karur Kongu Charitable Trust established by the professionals, educationalists, and entrepreneurs of various businesses with a view of providing technical education in the field of engineering at the diploma level. Kongu Hi-Tek Polytechnic College is constructed on a sprawling 5.02 acres campus of elevated land surrounded by a pollution-free environment. It is well connected by road and rail. It is only 23 km away from Karur, 7 Km from Aravakurichi, and 59 Km away from Dindigul. The nearest railway station is Karur Junction which is 22 km away from the Campus. The College has a separate hostel facility for boys and girls. For girls, a hostel facility is arranged outside the campus. The central library of the university is established to create a learning environment. It is housed in a building that houses more than 3,764 books covering all the six research streams available in this college. Accommodation is free for all students, which encourages students who have chosen KHTPC. A clean and tidy environment is guaranteed for the students of the hostel. Boarding students have 2 hours of compulsory study time each day between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Hostel residents are allowed to use the computers in the presence of faculty members living in the hostel. Students may use the campus sports/play facilities after normal term time opening hours. Student participation and health issues are addressed by nursing assistants under the guidance of the director and administrator. Boarding students are not allowed to leave the campus without permission from the principal. Discipline and attendance of students are strictly monitored to ensure good study conditions for hostel students. Boarding students can go home during the monthly vacations only after informing their parents about their trip and getting permission from the principal.

Various hygienic food and snacks like cakes, fresh juices, Chinese food, meals, various rice products, ice creams, etc. are served at a nominal price. It is mainly used by students and staff. Students have access to the canteen outside class time. The principal and the administration regularly observe and control the food conditions by collecting the views of the students.

Well-maintained college buses ply for the convenience of students coming from various places. Students will pay a reasonable rate depending on the trip. Excellent transportation is one of the special features of our facility. We have buses to the entire Karur city and its surroundings. It covers different areas of three districts Karur, Dindigul, and Tirupur. Free transport is provided to all staff and students are disciplined by staff on the bus. Matters related to transport are decided by the administrative officer and are addressed to the principal.

Admission

Passing the Tamilnadu Board of Secondary Education S.S.L.C examination is a prerequisite for admission to diploma courses. (or) Anglo-Indian High School Examination and Tamil Nadu (or) Tamil Nadu High School Matriculation. (Or) any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education.

Placement

The training group works under the direction and guidance of the director. The internship team includes faculty coordinators from all departments to consider students' education, communication, and other skills. The internship team organizes periodic internships with an assessment component to assess students individually and help resolve any objections found. Students are usually trained well before the interview day based on the placement requirements provided by the recruiters. Our students are trained to improve their skills with the help of moral values. This will help them find a job. To improve communication skills, an oral English language course is organized from time to time from the first year of study. To improve employability in Japanese companies, from the academic year 2021-22, Japanese language learning through outsourcing is planned. The goal of KHTPC is to provide students with versatile and standard offerings and to bring them to life in a good working environment.
