Kovai Kalaimagal College of Arts and Science was founded with the motto of ‘Light the Light Within’ to raise professionals and leaders of high academic competence and untarnished personality with a strong motivation and commitment to serve humankind. Established in 1996 by the Kovai Kalaimagal Educational Trust and it was granted autonomous status in 2016. KKCAS is a reputable institution with a 25-year record of outstanding service.

Infrastructure and Facilities

KKCAS is located at Vellimalipaatinam village which sprawling over a land area of 10.15 acres, surrounded by green hillocks. The campus has a serene and studious atmosphere with the least disturbance and distractions. The green campus is very much conducive to an effective teaching-learning process. To impart quality education the college has good infrastructure with all modern facilities. The college has three academic blocks with 40 classrooms, a Seminar hall, a Conference hall, and an auditorium with built-up areas of 6130 sq. mt

Library:

KKCAS Library is established in the year 1996. Our College library is housed in an area of 3905 sq. ft with a seating capacity of 60 and has a stock of 14,668 books and 65 journals and magazines in all disciplines. An exclusive library for Kovai Kalaimagal Academy for Competitive Examinations (KKACE) 613 sq. ft and 30 seating capacity has a stock of 237 books. Our library has membership in N-LIST, DELNET, & NDL, which facilitates e-books, e-journals, and e-thesis/dissertation that helps the staff and students to prepare articles, Research papers and also enrich their knowledge. Our college library was fully automated with the software named “College Management System”(CMS).

Sports Facilities:

The sports committee is established to guide the students in participating in various Sports events at the state /National /International Level. It develops leadership quality and improves their physical well-being. It also encourages students to take regular physical exercise for improved health. The Committee also provides Sports Scholarships to eligible students as per the guidelines given in the admission procedure. Every year Annual Sports Meet is organized with four houses and the overall trophy will be awarded to the winning house.

Laboratory:

The KKCAS has four computer laboratories. All the laboratories are equipped with adequate and latest systems, Languages Laboratories, and Laboratories with NPTEL facilities. The laboratories are designed with the safety features imbibed in the infrastructure and create an excellent ambiance and atmosphere for learning. The lab has a total of 250 computers connected to the network. Internet facility is available for all the systems in the lab with 50 Mbps bandwidth.
