There was a demand from the locality and also from the student section to open a B.Ed college in this area. So, a group of social workers and eminent educationists led by “The Bibhuti Bhusan Bandyopadhyay Philanthropic Society” took the initiative in establishing this institution named “Krishnanagar B.Ed College” on 4th August 2005. The college is managed and run by the “Bibhuti Bhusan Bandyopadhyay Philanthropic Society”, duly registered under Societies Registration Act, 1961, Regn. No. being S/IL/22173 of 2004-2005. The Krishnanagar B.Ed College is the first self-finance Bachelor of Education college in the Nadia district. It is affiliated to the University of Kalyani and recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). From the very beginning, this institution has been on the road to steady progress, thus catering to the need to produce efficient teachers for society.
