With a view to translating his noble ideal of imparting technical education into reality, a Technical Training Institute at Vempalli, Kadapa District was started in 1979 under the aegis of Sri Kandula Obul Reddy charities.
The college owes its existence to the keen interest of the late Kandula Obul Reddy in developing technical education in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. To translate his noble ideal of imparting technical education into reality, a Technical Training Institute at Vempalli, Kadapa District was started in 1979 under the aegis of Sri Kandula Obul Reddy charities. It was in 1980 that K.S.R.M.The College of Engineering was established to perpetuate the memory of the late Sri. Srinivasa Reddy, the youngest son of the late Sri Obul Reddy. Sri Srinivasa Reddy, a brilliant 3rd-year Mechanical Engineering student at Delhi College of Engineering, New Delhi, met his untimely death in a scooter accident on October 18, 1979. The college was officially opened on November 14, 1980, by Sri T.Anjaiah, Prime Minister of Andhra Pradesh and started operating from the academic year 198081.
Recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC), Approval by AICTE and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
KSRM College of Engineering, Kadapa of courses are offered at various levels like Undergraduate Degree (i.e B.Tech, etc.), Postgraduate Degree (i.e M.Tech., etc.) and PhD and many more. Residential Accommodation
Separate boys' and girls' hostels with high security are available on the university campus. Boys and girls have two hostels with WiFi services for UG and PG, which can accommodate around 150 students each with good infrastructure. A well-equipped gym is established so that the students of the inn develop the physical ability of boys and girls. They also have indoor play facilities. A hygienic mess is attached to the hostels. The Library
The treasury of books and periodicals - is the centre of intellectual activity in any institution. The Central Library works for its readers with a concern for creativity and innovation, predecessors of Research and Development. It has a well-equipped library that accumulates over 10,000 volumes of selected books in various engineering, management, basic, and general science subjects.
Canteen
It provides good quality fresh Snacks, cool drinks, coffee, tea, and other food items in a hygienic, healthy way which suits the pockets of the student. It is speckless and maintained very well.
Sport
Physical education is a part of general education and it is an education to prepare the student to be healthy and robust. Generally, we imagine that physical education is meant only for developing the person’s physique i.e. perfect shape of the body. But the physical education is much beyond this. It is meant to develop a knowledge of an individual to develop physical well-being and prevent physical diseases as well as mental problems and maintain a good personality. It can help to cut unwanted fat and make the body sculpt. It also deals with exercises to prevent many mental problems like stress, anxiety, anger etc., through the knowledge of Yoga. The motto of physical education is to inculcate this in all people and create a disease-free nation.

The Training and Placement Cell is headed by Sri.N.Siddiq, Apart from a full-time Asst. Training and Placement Officer, a committee, with one faculty member and one student member from each department, help the cell function effectively by coordinating its activities. The cell is fully equipped to churn out industry-ready candidates and is actively liaisoning with industries of repute and keeps the students informed of various job opportunities.
