Kushabhau Thakre University of Journalism and Mass Communication (KTUJM) is a journalism and mass communication university located in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The University established by Government of Chhattisgarh vide Act no 24 of 2004. Former Prime Minister a visionary statesman and a dedicated journalist Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee inaugurated the University on April 16, 2005 at Raipur.
Kushabhau Thakre University continues a terrific recognition for its mass conversation courses. Keeping in view the importance of the college, the Defence Minister – Rajnath Singh introduced the 2d convocation letter on the sixteenth of May 2013. Similarly, Venkaiah Naidu (Vice–President), and Om Thanvi (Hindi writer & senior journalist introduced the lecture at the third and the 4th convocation, respectively.
Kushabhau Thakre Patrakarita Avam Jansanchar Vishwavidyalaya courses are offered at various levels like Diploma Degree (Post Graduation Diploma in Computer Application etc.), Undergraduate Degree (B.Sc. Hons. etc.), Postgraduate Degree (i.e MA, etc.), and Doctoral levels and many more. Residential Accommodations:
Hostels are available for both girls and boys. In general, the hostels are good, with pretty comprehensive facilities being offered here. The bathrooms are hygienic and the common room offered the possibility of many recreational activities.
Labs:
Another high-tech infrastructure is the program production center, layout designing lab, animation lab, and many more.
Sports Facilities:
Indoor and outdoor sports activities are very popular. The university provides sports equipment for different sports. In total, the facilities provided by the college include a large sports complex, an auditorium, digital computer labs, and many other facilities.
Kushabhau Thakre Patrakarita Avam Jansanchar Vishwavidyalaya accepts admission through entrance exams.
Scholarships are only given to students who were SC and ST and OBC good students.
Around 70% of the students got placed during my batch. We had a dedicated placement cell that took care of maintaining tie-ups with the big media firms. Although the packages offered are not as good as one would expect after an MBA.
