Kutir P.G. College, Chakkey was established in 1971 by Pt. Abhayjeet Dubey a great freedom fighter and a trueman follower of "Geeta and Gandhian philosophy". As one of the pioneer institutes of higher education. The institution aims to emerge as one of the excellent centers of learning and knowledge creation in the country to facilitate the development of the value-based professional and traditional education system. Higher education to these students has to be provided at their doorsteps also considering economic aspects by providing higher education at minimal cost through optimal utilization of available resources. A library is not just a building and collection center of books, but a place from which information spreads throughout the country. The college/institute has a three-tiered enriched library system. The department's central library has a well-equipped infrastructure and more than 22,000 books related to various subjects. Apart from them, 13 academic magazines and more than 20 national and international scientific magazines related to various branches of science are actively subscribed to. Two of our graduate departments have their own departmental library with sufficient books. There is also a public library with a huge and valuable antiquarian library on historical legends such as Mahatma Gandhi, J.L. On Nehru and Gandhi's thoughts on "Geta".
