The University is a publicly funded University with headquarters at Pookode, Wayanad, and the powers of the University are vested in its authorities –the Management Council and the Board of Management.

All the extracurricular activities like arts, sports, and games are performed at the inter-college level jewelers' National level. Cultural festivals like Onam celebration, Christmas celebration, Christmas celebrations and carols, Holi, rangoli, etc han celebrated to the maximum extent and also there are healthy competitions like pooka lam competition Rangoli drawing, etc between the different year batches. There are also dance competitions, writing competitions dub smash competitions, short film festivals, etc other than the academic sessions. All students are encouraged and supported to perform their individual talents, and skills on stage platforms during December events like College Day, University Day college union programs, etc.
The male-to-female ratio is approximately 1:3. The only prominent party is the SFI. Dehradun on discrimination based on religion, race, etc. Students from different religious communities and different parts of Kerala as well as from North India study in this college with a peaceful atmosphere. This college is in the Wayanad district. This college runs with close administration with the local tribal people giving them opportunities such as t mess workers, farm staff, University workers, staff, etc. There is a good supply of economic funds since this has been the emerging University in the past recent years.
There are many types of hostel rooms like 2 bedroom 3 bedroom 6 bedroom. Students can take the hostel rooms according to their convenience with their batchmates or with seniors according to their comfort with the number of persons in each room. There is a separate PG hostel for girls which is within the campus and for boys which is outside the campus. The average mess fee is about 3000 to 3500 in which nonvegetarian and vegetarian foods are available.
There is a good connection with the seniors through WhatsApp groups as well as through Alumni association programs. There are also many sessions from them that deal with the best sectors in veterinary science as well as career opportunities. Seniors are much helpful for our future regarding job opportunities, especially in the private sector.
During this five and half years video with more than 20 subjects in veterinary science like anatomy, physiology, pathology parasitology, microbiology, biochemistry, surgery, gynecology, etc. Its subject consists of an average of 5 lecturers. Their average age ranges from 30- 55. In order to get into an assistant professor you need to complete MVSc(PG). Most of the professors have postgraduate as well as Ph.D. Most of the lecturers are experienced more than 5 years. They also have various years of practice in the subject field as well as in the treatment and clinic field.
After the course, you can get a placement at various private clinics as well as get a government job through PSC. There are also opportunities for veterinarians in banks, insurance companies, meat production technologies, night vets, etc. During the course, experts from various private clinics teach sessions dealing with the scope of private clinic jobs in small animals, large animals and pet animals, etc. Since this is the only course in India in which less number of students are passed and a limited number of colleges are present there is a campus placement of 100%. This institution is one of the best veterinary colleges all over India.
