Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Engineering, Kasaragod established in 1993 under the auspices of L.B.S Centre for Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram 

The Centre is administered by a Governing Body and an Executive Committee. The Chief Minister, of the Government of Kerala is the Chairman of the Governing Body and the Minister for Education is the Vice-Chairman. The Principal Secretary for Higher Education is the Chairman of the Executive Committee and the Director of Technical Education is its Vice-Chairman. The Director of the Centre is the Member Secretary of both bodies. He is the Executive head of the Centre. There are Joint Directors, Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors, Administrative Officers, Finance Officers,s and other subordinate staff to help the Director in administration and financial matters.

The CET College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)and is affiliated with Kannur University, Kannur.

Infrastructure and facilities :

Library & Information Centre (LIC)

The central library is operating in a spacious building having a built-up area of 15000 sq. Ft. And the circulation of documents is fully automated with barcode technology. A total of 25100 volumes of textbooks and references with more than 8500 different titles are available along with online journal access through our Intranet Digital Library System. In addition to the above a very good collection of Audiovisuals, CD-Roms, E-books, Journals, Periodicals, seminar reports, and Project reports are also available to the user community. 

Central Computing Facility(CCF)

The Common Computing Facility (CCF) has been established to meet the central computing requirements of the faculty, staff, and students of the college. All the major software and hardware platforms have been made available to the faculty and students. CCF develops and maintains proxy servers, FTP servers, and DNS servers. It also provides Antivirus solutions and email facilities to the faculty and staff. CCF remains open from 9.30 am to 6 pm on weekdays. CCF also looks after the maintenance of computers and other IT infrastructure of the college.

Hostels

LBS College of Engineering Kasaragod, LBSCEK is one of the few top engineering colleges in Kerala offering accommodation for all its students opting for Hostel Admission.LBSCEK provides three in-campus and three out-campus hostels that extend fully furnished hostel facilities for both boys and girls separately. The Hostels are governed by Hostel Warden, mostly a faculty from the College appointed by the Principal and he is assisted by Resident Tutors, H’Rts, and Matron to meet all matters concerning the welfare of the inmates of the Hostel.

Co-operative Society

The co-operative society “LBS College of Engineering Co-Operative Society Ltd. S-219” was established in 1995 (Affiliated to Kasargod Dist. Co-Operative Bank) and is functioning in the administrative block. The Cooperative Society caters to the needs of the students and staff of this College. The society supplies textbooks, notebooks, drawings instruments, surveying instruments, uniform materials, Syllabus, Lab Records, Various forms, registers, and Other stationery articles needed for the students and staff with discount rates. The Society is also dealing with MDS for permanent staff of this institution.

Maintenance Cell

The Maintenance Cell was constituted with the mission to continuously monitor and proactively implement cost-effective solutions for preserving and prolonging the life of the existing infrastructure of the campus.
