Born from the vision of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam, the Little Flower Hospital was named after Sister Teresa of Lisieux, the patroness of the hospital. The hospital had humble beginnings in 1936 and was known for its excellence in ophthalmology. Subsequently, the board recognized the need for qualified professionals and envisioned an academic institution, which became a reality in 1994. LIMSAR became the first self-funded college in Kerala with the aim of providing educational opportunities that meet the needs of the community. The founding of LIMSAR under the umbrella of MG University in 2005 was a milestone in the history of LIMSAR. In 2010, the Kerala government united all health sciences under one roof as KUHS. LIMSAR was one of them and is now a leading college in Kerala. 

Little Flower Hospital and Research Center is a non-profit and registered charity. It is a 610-bed NABH-accredited multi-hospital facility. It also provides training in various areas of medical, paramedical, and nursing care.

The LIMSAR auditorium is quite spacious and can accommodate 600 people. We also have an air-conditioned auditorium that seats 150 people.

LIMSAR offers separate accommodations for boys and girls. The hostel rooms are equipped with basic amenities. The hostel has a separate dining room, common room, and toilet facilities in the hostel. He has a sufficiently high level of self-confidence and good discipline. No student is allowed to leave the hostel without prior permission from the relevant authorities, except in emergencies. 

Canteen: 

Mensa is located on the college campus. It's open to everyone. All kinds of snacks, drinks, and meals are available at discounted prices. The employees of the canteen pay particular attention to the fact that students and employees in the campus canteen are provided with nutritious and hygienically perfect food.  

Library: 

The mission of our library is to provide excellent information resources and to provide quality services and facilities to meet the research, teaching, and educational needs of the institution.  The library is one of the central support facilities of the institution. Our library is equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of e-journals, e-books, books of various genres, magazines, project reports, etc. Students can publish textbooks and use library facilities to refer to materials.GUT students can use the WLAN provided.

Laboratories:

The professional orientation of students requires the practical application of concepts. LIMSAR offers modern and sophisticated teaching facilities that are constantly updated. Each department of the institute has state-of-the-art and adequately equipped laboratories with the latest instrumentation and equipment. The aim is to provide students with both a conceptual and a practical understanding of the topic through practical training. Transportation The college has a full transportation service that shuttles students from the dormitories by bus.
