The Catholic Educational Society of Lourdes Matha” was founded on the initiative of Father Joseph Kurinjiparampil, with the encouragement and collaboration of several Syro-Catholic parishioners of Thiruvananthapuram who have left an indelible mark on education, and with the blessing and patronage of His Excellency Mar Joseph Powathil, then Archbishop of Changanacherry. College has a large campus of 25 hectares in Kuttichal, a rural village on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram city, just 24 km away. The scenic beauty and unspoiled surroundings of the scenic green rubber plantations against the misty backdrop of the Western Ghats and the peaceful and tranquil hills provide the perfect setting for harmonious study.  The Lourdes Math Educational Society's vision is to create a Center of Excellence in Engineering and Technology to educate world-class professionals.

Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology offers Undergraduate Programs (B.Tech.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, (B.Tech.) Mechanical Engineering, (B.Tech.) in Computer Science Engineering, (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering, (B.Tech.) in Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Postgraduate Programs MBA (Master of Business Administration), (M.Tech.) in Electricals & Electronics Engineering, (M.Tech.) Electronics and Communication Engineering, (M.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering, Master of Computer Applications (MCA).

Infrastructure and Equipment:

Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology, which facilitates teaching and teacher development. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of the Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. The library is excellent too, with a huge range of books, online resources, and knowledgeable librarians.

Library: 

LMCST The Central Library is fully automated and Koha software is used for lending, procurement, OPAC, etc. All library materials are barcoded, and books are released to users after material barcodes are scanned. The college has a central library and 6 departmental libraries. The reading room is well equipped. An exclusive reference work is available in the library. A visitor log is kept for employees and students. CCTV cameras were installed in the library for close monitoring. The library has more than 26,460 books and about 500 e-journals on various fields of engineering and technology. 

The LMCST Central Library is a member of DELNET, which provides access to full-text e-books and 500 national and international e-journals. The central library is a member of the NDL, which has more than 6 missing e-books in its inventory. 

Computer room: 

Centralny Osrodek Informatyczne was put into operation in 2009. It is the focal point of IT resources shared between all departments and the college office. Hours of operation for this facility are 8:40 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. each college weekday. The central computer system has a total of 60 computers in a laboratory that is connected to each other via a local network. This property is powered by a 200 Mbit/s RailWire internet connection. The CCF is equipped with an online UPS system that provides uninterrupted power to the facility, including the main network. This allows the property to have a 24/7 internet connection and WiFi facility if needed. This property also has a printer and projector if required. 

The College's Central Computer Unit has over 250 computers in 8 computer labs and server rooms on campus. These labs are served by a combined BSNL and Railwire 500 Mbps internet connection.

Hostels: 

The hostel is a home away from home that trains students with good discipline and the right attitude to become top professionals. The college has excellent living conditions for students who are admitted to various courses. There are two hostels on campus. San Patrizio Tommaso Refuge for boys and hostel for girls in Assisi.Every effort has been made to provide the best facilities for the students living on campus. Every student has access to a wide range of activities, facilities, and support. Hostels have all kinds of services that make life comfortable and pleasant for residents. The hostels have a lounge with LED TV and cable connection for leisure facilities. The students themselves are responsible for the proper maintenance of the items provided by the management. The hostels have separate, well-equipped dining rooms, kitchens, and dining rooms. Subscriptions are also made to local/national newspapers to include Internet users' general personality development. There are strict rules regarding general discipline, study times, lunch breaks, etc. 

Cafeteria: 

There is also a state-of-the-art coffee shop on-site with a modern central food manufacturing facility serving vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Open six days a week, The dining Room is a place to eat whatever you want. In a very hygienic and pleasant atmosphere, you will be served healthy and tasty, vegetarian and non-vegetarian products. In our canteen, there will always be a place on the shelf for ice cream, yogurt, muffins & co.
