Lourdes Matha Institute of Management Studies, Thiruvananthapuram Kerala was established in 2004 to provide higher education for building a career in management. Lourdes Matha Institute of Management Studies is accredited by the prestigious AICTE and affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam University of Technology, Thiruvananthapuram. Head of Lourdes Matha Institute of Management Studies, Thiruvananthapuram, works under the direction of Dr. Mercia Selva Malar Justin (Dean). 

Lourdes Matha Institute of Management Studies (LMIMS), Thiruvananthapuram, was founded by the Lourdes Matha Catholic Educational Society. The institute offers an MBA program in the disciplines of marketing, finance, human resources, operations, and information systems. LMIMS approvals are based on CMAT/CAT/KMAT scores followed by group discussions and face-to-face interviews. In addition, the institute organizes holiday internships and project work for industrial students. The department organizes programs for the development of management skills and personality development programs. It continuously organizes training programs to improve student employability. The upper package is offered at INR 4.8 LPA and the middle package at INR 3.36 LPA.

There is also a state-of-the-art coffee shop on site with a modern central food manufacturing facility serving vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.

Laboratory: 

The college established a language lab to help students develop their communication skills. The laboratory has audiovisual equipment for learning all languages: English and German are currently taught. The students also have the opportunity to develop their own personalities by participating in the personality development course.

The college's teaching and training department operates under the direction of trainees and faculty coordinators with the help of student coordinators from the various faculties.  The cell helps students find jobs in reputable organizations. The unit organizes holiday training and work projects for them in various sectors. The Training and Employment Department organizes management skills development programs and personality development programs. The Training and Employment Department organizes training programs on an ongoing basis to increase the employability of students.
