LJCE TEACHING PRACTICE

The Students are given practice in teaching for a period of 80 days in the best Government High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools in Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli Districts.

LJCE GUIDES TRAINING

A basic Guides Captain Training program is provided for a period of seven days in order to develop in the trainees, the basic qualities of an Indian citizen.

LJCE COUNSELING SERVICES

Our College is also having provisions for counseling and placement services. In order to develop their personality and communication skills seminars and discussions are held by resource persons. Career information services are also available in our college.

LJCE SALIENT FEATURES SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES

The Science and Humanities Department has well-equipped Physics and Chemistry laboratories. It has a lab for Communication English equipped with the latest software and a well-furnished computer lab.

Our Library is well equipped with more than 5000 books in all subjects. It is kept open from 7 AM to 10.30 PM on all days. National and International Journals and Magazines on different subjects are available in our Library.

LJCE CENTRAL COMPUTING FACILITY

The Institution gives utmost importance to students' internet initiatives for seeking knowledge and staying connected with the world. The internet lab for students' facilities net browsing for up-to-date information in their fields of interest. All the machines are LAN connected to the main switch panel through CATS cabling. This lab, one of the hot spots for the students on the campus, is powered by a microwave radio link of 16 Mbps through STPI-backed 100 KVA on lineups.

Students are encouraged to use them for academic purposes and are allotted time for their use. 

LJCE CLASSROOMS

All classrooms are fitted with Over Head Projectors (OHP). Audio-visual centers are also available with LCD projectors. Classes for which more illustrations are needed are conducted in the AV centers.

LJCE HEALTH CENTRE

The health center offers check-ups and medical attendance as and when needed. The health centre will remain open during college hours and students can contact the Centre in charge for medical assistance.

LJCE CANTEEN

The canteen provides hygienic food at a reasonable price. Caterers who have vast experience in catering run the canteen.

LJCE TRANSPORT

College buses ply between Marthandam (via Nagercoil), Colachel (via Nagercoil), Valliyoor, Kanyakumari, and the college. The bus fare is nominal.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

Candidates should have secured a minimum of 45% in part III of the UG degree, in the subject for which admission is sought, in the B.Ed course for the SC/ST candidates the eligibility requirement is a pass in the relevant UG degree course.
