Facilities and Infrastructure

Classrooms:

The Institute has well-designed Air Conditioned classrooms with essential teaching aids like audio-visual equipment LCD projectors, slide projectors, T V., and DVDs for the use of faculty members and students.

Computer Center:

The modern computer center is equipped with the latest computers with color monitors, multimedia units, and Internet facilities, supports the programs, and also trains students in the use of computers as a tool for a management information system. The computer center is under the control of the EDP in charge. The computer facilities are used by the students and faculty for their classwork. In addition to the basics of computers, students are also exposed to the various hotel operations done through computers like reservation systems, inventory maintenance, financial accounting, etc.

Library:

The library contains a selected collection of books, periodicals, and research journals in various fields. Apart from the academic subjects, books on General knowledge, Philosophy, Health, and Fitness, etc. are available. Magazines of all types are subscribed to on regular basis and the library also has a collection of CDs / DVDs related to professional areas.

Auditorium:

The institute has a spacious, multipurpose auditorium with a seating capacity of 150 people, available for lectures, presentations, and other special events. The audio-visual department oversees all technical areas of the auditorium, including lighting, sound, and projection. The department also makes sure that a staff person is on duty during events held at the auditorium.

Food Production Laboratory:

Food Production Laboratory is to teach the students art and science of culinary and knowledge about various cuisines. The Training Kitchen comprises all commercial ranges with a balanced mix of high-pressure and low-pressure burners along with a wide range of ancillary helping equipment like the Microwave, Oven, Salamander, Mixer, Grinder, Blender, Fridge, etc.

Front Office:

The front office laboratory is set up and mock practicals are conducted with a view to exposing the students to the day-to-day functioning of the Front Office in star hotels. The laboratory has a system on which software has been installed for computerized front-office operations.
