LOURDES MOUNT College of Engineering & Technology was established in the year 2013 and approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. This College offers five UG Graduate Engineering programs. The College is situated 4 km from Marthandam. It is located in a greenish village surrounded by green fields and rich clusters of trees with a peaceful environment near the border between Kerala and Tamil Nadu. It has magnificent and artistically elevated infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories and a library.

Facilities and Infrastructure

The Inauguration function and blessing of Lourdes Mount College of Engineering & Technology was held on 15 July 2013 at 10 am. Col. Dr. Jeppiaar, M.A., B.L., Ph., the chief guest, Fr. Solomon, Vicar General, Diocese of Kottar lighted the Kuthuvillakku. Fr. A. Gabriel, Vicar-Postulator, Martyr DevasahayamPillai blessed the occasion. Prof. C. Augustine, the Director of the college, Mrs. L. ShalinJency, Secretary, and Shri. P. Lawrence, the Chairman presented during the function. 

Library:

The Lourdes Mount College of Engineering and Technology has a fully furnished Library. The total area of the Library building is about 450 sqm.A number of specialized Science, Engineering, and Humanities discipline books are available and for the effective and better governance of the resources, the entire collection is divided into various subject headings. 

Antiragging:

Ragging in all its forms is totally banned in this institution including in its departments, constituent units, all its premises (academic, residential, sports, cafeteria, etc. ) whether located within the campus or outside, and in all means of transportation of students whether public or private. The institution shall take strict action including but not limited to criminal proceedings and/or cancellation of admission against those found guilty of ragging and/or of abetting ragging and the burden of proof shall hereby lie on the perpetrator of alleged ragging and not on the victim. An offense of ragging may be charged either on a written complaint by the affected or on an independent finding of the Anti-Ragging Squad.

Transport:

For the transportation of the day scholars and staff members, our college buses plying from various places in the Trivandrum and Kanyakumari districts. The buses are operated after taking into account the boarding point of the students. The buses leave the campus at 4:10 pm, which helps students to reach home early and safely. The students are asked to come to the boarding point, 10 minutes before the time intimated.

Hostel:

The college has very good hostel facilities for both boys & girls with very delicious food.

Cafeteria & General Store:

A spotless, well-maintained, and spacious dining hall to accommodate 100 students to dine at a time has been set up to serve delicious vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. There is a separate dining hall for girls. A hygienic kitchen with all modern amenities is attached. The nutritious food is prepared with the help of unique steam cooking equipment. Different timings are maintained in catering food to one and all. Most interestingly, all the employees, students, staff, and visitors are served the same graded food without any differentiation.

NSS:

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly called NSS, the scheme changed into released in Gandhiji's Centenary year, 1969. Aimed at developing students' personalities through community service.

Admission

Admission to all the courses will be done purely on the basis of merit. The Management Quota seats (35% as per TN Govt. norms) are filled by the management, based on the merit of the candidates who applied for Management Quota. Admissions for 2018-2019 (I year B.E, B.Tech & II years lateral entry), A pass in the HSC (Academic) or it's equivalent with a minimum average percentage in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, The minimum eligibility marks for admission to second year B.E/B. Tech degree courses under Lateral Entry for Diploma and B.Sc candidates.The candidate who has passed SSLC + 3-year Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Governments.

Placement

A dedicated placement and training cell is instituted inside the college campus to work throughout the year by inviting corporate for recruiting our students. The placement cell conducts career awareness programs and guidance to Higher Education periodically. The placement cell will coordinate and organize in-plant training, Industrial visits, Project guidance, Guest Lectures, and industry–institute interactions for students during their period of study. Special training is provided for Tamil/Malayalam Medium students for better Spoken English. Placement-oriented training for students will be conducted from the first year onwards.
