Loyola College of Social Sciences is a living tradition, an organic entity of the Jesuit Global Network for Higher Education, and shares the same Ignatian DNA. One of India's oldest social science schools, Loyola College was founded in 1963 by visionary Jesuit Father Joseph Edamaram to bring about social change in Kerala and society at large.  The institute imparts excellence in life through service. Loyola College offers an MA (Sociology), MSW (Master of Social Work), MAHRM (Master of Human Resource Management), and MA in Counseling Psychology. The college is affiliated with Kerala University and is an accredited research center of the college and leads students to doctoral studies.D. in Sociology, Social Work, and Management Sciences. Faculty staff carries out research projects at various levels. Loyola Extension Services (LES) is a true advisory service and an integral part of the College. LES acts as the college's social laboratory.

Infrastructure and Facilities:

Loyola College of Social Sciences has a sprawling campus that is well-maintained and provides a serene environment for learning. The buildings are modern and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, Loyola College of Social Sciences makes it easier for students to learn and faculty to teach. The classrooms of Loyola College of Social Sciences, lecture halls, and labs are spacious, comfortable, and designed to provide an excellent learning experience. The library is also outstanding, with a vast collection of books, online resources, and knowledgeable librarians.

Library: 

Designed to meet the needs of our faculty, researchers, students, and other academic communities, the Loyola Library (Loyola Knowledge Resource Center) was designed to be an essential collection of educational resources that serve as the heart of the College.  

Computer Center: 

The well-equipped data center offers courses for students and staff on the latest word processing and data analysis software packages. Internet and email are available. 

Hostels: 

There are separate hostels for men and women. Admission to the halls of residence is only after the student has been admitted to the college. 

Cafeteria: 

The canteen of the university covers the canteen needs of the student body and the employees. It is run by a team of culinary arts and cooking specialists led by Mr. Thankayyan.

Transportations: 

The college has a bus, a car (Tavera), and a van (Omni) to meet the college's transportation needs. The college also shares transportation with the Loyola School, located on the same campus and run by the Jesuit Society. 

Other services: 

A printer is available on campus, in the library, in the departments, and in the secretariat, and a copy service is offered in the library and in the college secretariat.  The Honesty Shop supplies the necessary stationery on campus. Sanitary facilities are available for both male and female students. Restrooms and ramps are available to accommodate the needs of students with disabilities. To stimulate discussion on campus, blocks of concrete benches were placed in two prominent locations. Water purifiers are decontamination stations located in various libraries, hostels, gymnasiums, and main buildings.
