Loyola College, a Catholic Minority Institution, became based through the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in 1925, with the number one goal of offering University Education in a Christian environment for deserving college students no matter caste and creed. It commenced functioning in July 1925 with simply seventy-five college students on the rolls in 3 undergraduate guides of Mathematics, History, and Economics.
There are 19 P.G guides and 19 U.G guides (Arts, Sciences, and Commerce), and 12 unique Institutes presenting numerous packages to 12,107 college students. eleven departments are presenting M.Phil. packages and 12 departments provide Ph.D. packages. At present, 117 teaching staff members out of 286 preserve doctoral degrees. There is 182 non-teaching staff in service.
