The Southern Districts namely Thirunelveli, Tuticorin, and Kanyakumari (where “Loyola Institute of Technology and Science (LITES)” is established) were once referred to as the Oxford of the South since a large number of meritorious graduates came out of this place and served our Motherland with grace and dedication.
Loyola Institute of Technology and Science (LITES) is an engineering university that changed into as soon as mentioned as “Oxford of South''. The college offers many UG and PG courses in the field of science and technology. Services are highly regarded and appreciated and have produced many eminent leaders to serve our Great Nation which includes our loved former President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
Loyola Institute of Technology and Science, Kanyakumari, is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Affiliated with Anna University.
Loyola Institute of Technology and Science, Kanyakumari courses are offered at various levels like Undergraduate Degrees i.e, Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical And Electronics Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (BE) Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (BE) Mechanical Engineering, etc. Postgraduate Degree i. e Master of Technology (M.Tech. ) Applied Electronics, MBA (Finance And Human Resource Management), MBA (Finance), etc. You can also find a brief overview of the different courses offered by the university across various disciplines with their specializations on the Course page.
HOSTAL:
A hygienic and well-built Ladies' hostel with all basic & essential amenities. We make sure that girls feel comfortable and enjoyable with various accommodation plans. Safe, stable, and homely lodging for the students. Hostels are spruced up with a pollution free environment. Hostel life is golden life full of joy and happiness. All rooms are spacious and well ventilated which makes the stay comfy and pleasant. Spacious lawns near the hostel campus for the students to play and enjoy some leisure time. Extensive care is taken to maintain sterile conditions and cleanliness.
MESS:
MESS hall has a separate dining hall and a well-equipped kitchen. It serves breakfast, lunch, evening tea, and dinner every day and the weekly menu is available with the mess in charge. The food served is of high quality and meets the nutritional quality standards.
LIBRARY:
Well-equipped with Books, Textbooks, Journals, Periodicals, and Newspapers. Arranged in a systematic way for their easy access. A rich collection of around 69,000 books, old and rare books, valuable reference books, journals, educational CDs/DVDs, and innumerable e-books, and e-journals are also available.
TRANSPORT:
Full-fledged transport facility to students and faculty members on very nominal charges. Our Bus drivers are highly qualified and are licensed by the RTO to drive college buses to ensure the full safety of both the students & staff members. Bus Facility is likewise to be had for students & college individuals for business visits, discipline journeys, and different instructional activities.
AUDITORIUM:
A special place to promote the conduct of international, national, and other University events such as conferences, workshops, seminars, meetings, placement programs, and cultural events. Well-furnished, air-conditioned, and equipped with modern projection and audio systems with access to the internet. It is designed in such a way that they ensure a perfect view of the main stage irrespective of the seating location of the audience.
DEBATING HALL:
A place to create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem that develops better cognitive ability among students. The survey is conducted to know students’ needs and suggestions regarding career-related activities and is discussed in this hall. Through effective discussions and debates student employment ideas can be shared by providing in-house and external internships to students.
This department interacts with reputed organizations all over the country for arranging campus interviews for the placement of final-year students. It makes efforts to send most of the students for in-plant training to enhance their technical ability and gain exposure to the practical world. The training and placement cell provides comprehensive training to our students in life planning, soft skills, aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal ability, resume writing, interview readiness, and group discussion preparations. Also, students are provided with Technical certification courses, UPSC, GATE, TNPSC, BANK, and NPTEL coaching.
A pass in the HSC (Academic: both +1 and +2) or it's equivalent with a minimum average percentage in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
Empowering the rural and less privileged students with value-based technical knowledge, forming them as responsible citizens.
