Sadhana Education Society’s L. S. Raheja College of Arts & Commerce is a premier educational institute situated in the heart of Mumbai’s suburbs, Santacruz (West). It is a Gujarati-speaking linguistic minority institution offering quality-oriented education from higher secondary to doctoral programs. The inscription ‘DeepoJyotiPrajvalito, Jyanmay, PrakashmayPradeepah’on the emblem, which means ‘To shun the darkness of ignorance and to spread the light of knowledge’, illustrates the motto of the Society. The founders of the Society have a distinct vision to promote education and foster the scientific and academic temper of the young minds of Mumbai.
Its parent body Sadhana Education Society was established in 1961. Since its inception, the Society has been dedicated to the cause of education. With the mission to spread education in all its aspects and phases, across various sections of society and to promote research and nurture the Gujarati culture, the Society founded its first institute – Smt. Kapila Khandvala College of Education in 1961. Thereafter, it instituted Malti Jayant Dalal Primary School and Malti Jayant Dalal High School in 1968. In 1975, the Society also instituted Malati Jayant Dalal Nursery School and S.B. Kindergarten. Subsequently, to sell the all-spherical improvement of college students and to facilitate training from K.G. to Ph.D. under one banner, the Society instituted L. S. Raheja College of Arts & Commerce in 1980.
The College is devoted to the holistic development of its students and inspires them to participate and be actively involved in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Students are encouraged to check in with numerous statutory and voluntary institutions like units, the NSS units, the DLLE department, Marathi VangmayMandal, etc. Students of L. S. Raheja College have showcased their talents in various inter-collegiate and intra-collegiate programs and have won several accolades. The college students additionally arrange inter-collegiate programs like Unmesh, Udaan, Parallax, and Retake.

All admissions are purely provisional and subject to confirmation by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and School Education and Sports Department, University of Mumbai, Government of Maharashtra. He/she should be Gujarati by birth and should have passed the S.S.C / equivalent examination from the state of Maharashtra only.

During the internship drive, several students from LS Raheja College of Arts & Commerce secured valuable internship opportunities. Notably, Ritual Sawant from the BFM program was selected for an internship at Unschool starting on August 4, 2020, for one month. Additionally, five students from FYBFM, namely Viraj Divekar, Rashi Chauhan, Nayan Jain, Rishab Sangoi, and Piyush Chawla, were chosen for internships at Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd, also for one month.
The placement and internship drives provided students from FY, SY, and TY with significant interview experience, contributing to their professional growth. Various employers participated in these drives, including Asian Paints Ltd, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd, IndusInd Bank, Intellecta Consultants, Choice Equity Broking Pvt Ltd, and MasterSoft – Mumbai Office, among others.
