Moot Court Area– A mock trial is an extracurricular activity at many law schools where participants take part in a fictitious legal proceeding, which usually involves drafting pleadings (or briefs) and participating in oral discussions. The term derives from the Anglo-Saxon era when a moot was a gathering of prominent men in a locality to discuss matters of local importance.
