Magadh University offers several courses at the UG level in multiple specializations. Courses like B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, B.Lib.Sc, BPT, B.Tech etc are offered. Regular courses like B.A, B.Com, and B.Sc are offered in both General and Hons. To be eligible for these courses students must pass the intermediate level with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board. Selection will be made based on merit secured in the last academic qualification.

Admissions will be granted based on secured merit in the last qualified examination. A merit list will be released by the university. Candidates who will have their names on the released merit list are advised to visit the university campus on time for document verification, counseling, and confirming admission.
Magadh University offers several courses at the postgraduate level. Courses like MBA, M.Sc, M.A, M.Com, MCA, M.Lib.Sc, and M.Ed are provided by the university. The eligibility criteria is to complete graduation in a relevant field from a recognized university. Selection will be done based on merit in the last academically qualified examination. But for the M.Ed course, students need to go through an entrance exam which is conducted by the university.
To be eligible for a PG program students must pass graduation in a relevant subject from a recognized university.
Magadh University offers Ph.D. programs in various specializations. For a Ph.D. course, students must score 55% marks in aggregate a master's in the concerned subject from a recognized university. The admission will be provided on the basis of scores secured in the pre-PhD examination conducted by the university.

Along with all other regular, campus-based full-time curriculums, Magadh University offers Diploma & PG Diploma courses in 4 specializations. To be eligible for a Diploma course, students should have done 10+2 level from a recognized board, and for a PG Diploma course applicants must have completed graduation from a recognized university.
