Magadh University was established on March 1, 1962 as a consequence of the earnest wishes and efforts of the intellectuals and educationists of the Magadh region and also its foundation echoed the conversion of the long cherished dream of the people of Magadh into reality. The university is now governed by the Bihar State University Act 1976.
Magadh University (READ IN HINDI) enjoys the honor of being the largest university in Bihar with its 19 constituent and approximately 39 affiliated colleges, 1 Engineering college, 2 Law faculties, and a pair of Dental faculties unfold over the districts of Gaya, Nawada, Jehanabad, Arwal, and Aurangabad. Magadh University has 6 boys and 2 girls hostels with the centers consisting of the common room, security, parking, strength backup, net connectivity, kitchen, and mess with eating space. Some of the hostels have wireless facilities for permitting the scholars as a way to maintain their research online.
There is a totally massive campus. It is placed in the nearby area of Bodh Gaya. There is a need to repair the infrastructure. There is a very big library located on campus. The surroundings there are very peaceful. Approximately all of the books associated with my route are to be had there. Huge floor to play many sorts of sports activities. Many college students play numerous sports activities like cricket, football, basketball, etc.
Library:
Apart from the various departmental seminar libraries, the University has a large, spacious, well-furnished, and dedicated central library for its students. Housed in a different multi-storied building, the relevant library is called Manual Central Library.
It has about 1,62,245 books, manuscripts, and different analyzing materials, an e-database, heaps of National and International journals, weekly & month-to-month magazines, and everyday newspapers in English and Hindi. Apart from books on technical topics associated with the area and courses, it homes books on well-known hobbies like management, education, library science, tourism management, mass communication, and pc science. To help the studies desires of its students, the library has about approximately 3000 theses in print, with each countrywide and global recognition.
Sports Facilities:
Sports Available for Boys Football, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Wrestling, Boxing, Power Lifting, Weight Lifting, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Chess, Archery, etc, and other athletic events are organized by the Directorate of sports of the University. University boys’ teams regularly participate in the East Zone and All India University Tournaments. 2. Sports Available for Girls Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Wrestling, Power Lifting, Weight Lifting, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Chess, Archery, etc, and all athletic events are organized by the Directorate of sports activities of the University. University girls’ groups often take part in the East Zone and All India University Tournaments.
Health Center:
The University Health Center – Cum –Dispensary provides medical facilities to students, teachers, and other employees residing at the university campus as well as outside the college campus round the clock. It has the service of doctors, nurses, and enough supporting Para scientific team of workers with indoor centers except for a full-fledged Yoga Center.
IT Infrastructure:
The University has well-equipped Computer Labs for its students. There are around 162 Systems available with different sections and departments of the University. There is around a 35:1 computer and Student Ratio. Computing Labs are having Dedicated Computer facilities Such as LAN Facilities. University may be very eager to increase and decorate the ICT infrastructure to grow the pc scholar ratio.
