Maharaja Sris Chandra College, Kolkata West Bengal was established in the year 1964 as Public Educational Institute to provide higher education to build a career in the field of Humanities, Science, and Commerce. Maharaja Sris Chandra College is accredited by NAAC and is affiliated with the University of Calcutta, Kolkata. The history of our institution, Maharaja Srischandra College dates back to 1941 when the college was set up in a very busy North Calcutta neighbourhood Shyambazar by Maharaja Srischandra Nandy in memory of his father Maharaja Manindra Chandra Nandy, a renowned philanthropic Zamindar of Cossimbazar. An equally illustrious personality as his father, Maharaja Srischandra greatly contributed to the socio-cultural movement of Bengal in the early 20th century. Some local workers and academicians of the locality in which the college is situated encouraged Maharaja Srischandra to set up a college that would cater to the huge section of students residing in this locality.

Library:

Maharaja Srischandra College Library was started along with the establishment of the College in 1964-65 to cater to the academic needs of the faculty, students, and other members of the college. The college prides itself on having a well-collected and spacious library with its books arranged in textbooks, reference books, journals, periodicals, and magazines of both general and special interest, the library benefits the students and the teachers. The college library, since then, has gone from strength to strength to live up to the expectation of its immediate clientele. The college is situated on Bhupen Bose Avenue, Kolkata, and very close to Shyambazar five points. The Central Library is situated on the 2nd floor of the main building of the college having a 1496 sq. ft reading room with 80 sitting capacities and the areas of stock room are 612 sq. ft. The Membership of the College Library is open to teachers, part-time teachers, students, and non-teaching staff. All categories of members are entitled to borrow books from the Central Library.

Smart Classroom:

Canteen:
