Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT), Aurangabad was established in 2001 by the Gramodyogik Shikshak Mandal (GSM) and the MIT group of institutes. It is an autonomous institute accredited with an " A " grade from NAAC. It offers a wide range of courses for graduation and post-graduation level in the disciplines of Engineering & Technology. The institute is permanently affiliated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU), Aurangabad, and is approved by AICTE, Delhi, and DTE Maharashtra. MIT has received recognition under Sections 2(F) and 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956. UGC has granted autonomous status to the institute. MIT has accreditation from the Department of Science and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India as a Science and Industrial Research Organization (SIROs).

Admission

Candidates have to ensure the prescribed eligibility criteria first to get admission into any program of B. Tech and M. Tech. It is necessary to clear exams like MHT-CET/JEE to get admission in both the UG and PG courses.

Special Schemes - MIT offers many special schemes like, earn and learn scheme, and a book bank facility, PG students may avail of the facility to earn and develop teaching skills in the role of teaching assistant and the institute also provides special concession in fees for children of MIT employees (Class III and Class IV).
