Welcome to National Law University, Nagpur (NLU, Nagpur). NLU, Nagpur is established by Maharashtra Government by way of enactment known as the Maharashtra National Law University Act (Maharashtra Act No. VI of 2014) and the University takes pride to be the Nineteenth National Law University in the country. The University shall be making rapid progress towards its dream of achieving excellence in the field of legal education with its dedicated faculty members, staff and students under the able guidance and supervision of its founding members, visionaries, well-wishers and members of different statutory bodies of the University.
MNLU was founded by the Maharashtra Government under the Maharashtra National Law University Act (Maharashtra Act No. VI of 2014) in 2016. It is anticipated to be established in 2016 and this university will help to expand legal education, with new enthusiasm. It is aiming to become one of the leading legal education institutions in India. The school focuses on the holistic growth of students and provides quality and enriching experiences, which makes it a place with a high level of excellence.
The mission that the school is to train students to be honest and trustworthy in their academics, in addition to being educated in legal classes. However, the goal of the institution is to train the young as responsible citizens and assist in the development of our nation. This is why it concentrates on the people who have a desire for care and attention. Furthermore, the university is aimed at taking the necessary measures to provide high-quality higher education in the academic field.
The university is endorsed by the University Grants Commission of India & Bar Council of India.
At present, it runs the BA-LLB programme at the UG stage, LLM for PG, Ph.D. in the Doctoral degree, and Certificate and Diploma programs.

In addition to the mentioned facilities, MNLU also provides facilities that include Gymkhana, Food and Catering Services and Recreational activities. Volleyball and Football courts and so on. and many more.
The admissions for UG and PG courses are awarded according to the marks obtained in the CLAT exam which is conducted through Rajiv Gandhi National Law University.
Ph.D. Admission to Ph.D. is according to the score achieved during the AIET Entrance Exam which is conducted by Maharashtra National Law University. Candidates with an acceptable score in UGC-CSIR NET/UGC-NETor SLETor UGC GATE/JRFor M.Phil are not required to take AIET.
