Hostel

The institute has cozy home-like separate hostels for boys and girls with all modern amenities like beds, tables, chairs, electrical fittings, 24-hour water supply, TV sets, and a recreation hall with facilities for indoor games. The computer center and library hall are kept open for the residents of the hostels too. The Hostel facility is not mandatory and is available to students upon written request. The student has to fill in the application form and also give an undertaking in writing that he/she will abide by the Hostel Rules. Membership shall be terminated automatically at the end of each academic year. Students, who are desirous of returning to the Hostel, shall make a fresh application for readmission at the beginning of 2nd / the 3rd year.

Computing Labs

The Mahavir Institute Of Engineering And Technology has a computer Lab out of which there exists a Central Computing facility having 128 Computers with Linux/ Windows LAN connectivity through Servers. Software as per University course curricula like C/C++, Java, Matlab, and databases like Oracle, and Rational Rose exist. The college has Internet connectivity from BSNL of 10Mbps (1:1) leased line with Fibre Optic End point connectivity. Each Section has 32 PCs connected to the DELL Blade Server. Students of all Engineering/ Technology branches including MCA and Architecture perform their common computing laboratory work in Programming in C, Data structure using C, OOP/C++, and RDBMS / ORACLE as per BPUT Syllabus. Besides this, students of higher Semesters of CSE, IT, and MCA utilize this laboratory for their Computer Network Lab, JAVA Programming Lab, OS Lab, Internet Lab, etc. All the PCs are with LAN connectivity and Internet connectivity.

Library

Mahavir Institute Of Engineering And Technology library is well equipped with 36000 text reference books by both Indian and Foreign authors.24-hour online library facilities are provided by the institute. The digital library provides access to international journals. It’s an ideal place for study and research.

Transportation

The institution has its own fleet of buses to meet the transport needs of students and staff to commute to the campus from various parts of the city at a nominal cost fixed by the management.

Canteen

Mahavir Institute of Engineering and Technology has a canteen which brings refreshments for the students. The canteen caters to all aspects of food. The college provides a healthy environment in the canteen and makes sure that quality food is served at a reasonable price. The canteen helps the students refresh themselves with snacks to meals. The working of the canteen is strictly monitored to adhere to acceptable standards of hygiene.

To meet the presidential demands of industry and business houses with whom the institution has longstanding and intimate contact, the infrastructure facilities are available by way of sophisticated instruments and specialized experts in various fields.
