Research Facilities

Mahendra Arts And Science College, Namakkal Tamil, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, and Commerce departments have been recognized as Research departments by Periyar University. English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biotechnology departments are recognized as Research Departments by Annamalai University from 2004-2005.

Buildings

Mahendra Arts And Science College, Namakkal At the start of the college, only the Arts Block was in existence and subsequently, the Biotechnology Block, spacious and well-designed laboratories were also added. Presently the infrastructure facilities existing in these laboratories are enough to take up high-tech research. A new block, namely the round block has been designed to accommodate the library and Computer laboratory. A new block is under construction exclusively for the Department of Biosciences.

Fee Regulations

Every student shall be able to pay the fee in full for the year if he attended classes in a semester or part of a semester and as long as his name is not struck off from the rolls. The tuition fees are to be paid by the students in four equal installments as per the schedule either without or with a fine which may be prescribed by the admission committee. The names of the students who have not paid the fees even on the last day fixed for the payments with fines will be removed from the rolls.

Library

The Library consists of a Central Library, a Branch Library, and 8 Departmental Libraries which collectively support the teaching, research, and extension programs of the Institute. All students, and faculty members of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities by taking a library membership. The Library, besides having a huge collection of books on Arts & Science offers library services through its various Divisions. Central Library was initially set up in the year 1999.

Mahendra Arts & Science College (Autonomous) Central Library collection of 35369 Volumes of books and 19472 Titles, 553 back volumes of journals, 2298 project reports, and 1648 CDs/DVDs of various branches of arts & science. 52 Periodicals more than 95000 + E-Books and 6000 National and international Journals online are subscribed to annually.

Transport

The Mahendra Arts And Science College, Namakkal has seventy-five buses to take students and staff members to the college from Salem, Erode, Namakkal, and Rasipuram.

Hostel

The final year students are facilitated to do project work inside the campus and also in reputed companies. There are two hostels -one each for Boys and Girls. The Principal, the Ex-officio warden, the deputy warden, the Resident tutors, and Hostel superintendent, and hostel staff under the direct control of the Chairman support the hostels and the attached messes. The application for hostel accommodation should be submitted in the prescribed form. Hostel accommodation will be provided to the extent available. The hostel fee in respect of room rent is payable for each academic year, while the mess bill is collected at monthly intervals.
