Maitreyi College founded in 1967, is an eminent constituent college of the University of Delhi, offering quality education to women. Infrastructure and Facilities at Maitreyi College

The Maitreyi College college has a building committee that oversees the maintenance of the college infrastructure. Through meetings conducted throughout the year, necessary requisitions are considered, followed up, and proposed to the Governing Body for sanction of funds. All purchases are made and the infrastructural needs are met.

Library:

The library of the college occupies a two-story complex adjacent to the main building. It is a user-focused centre of learning resources that meet all academic and research needs. The library is automated using the Integrated Library Management System ‘SOUL’ (Software Of University Library) developed by INFLIBNET. The library acquired this software in 2007 and was able to fully automate its operations by 2010 after the creation of a database of all books and library services. Currently, SOUL 2.0 version is being used. It comprises an efficient OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) system that allows the users of the library to check the status of their account and facilitates the information retrieval process. The library has a seating capacity of more than 150 users and a collection of more than 99,000 books. It has subscriptions to a wide range of print journals, periodicals, national and international magazines, and 23 leading national newspapers. The library provides access to a database of many e-books and e-journals through its N-LIST facility. Apart from this, users can also access the online database subscribed by the Delhi University Library System through the college network. The library has a membership of DELNET (Developing Library Network) services. 

Canteen:

It is run by a contractor and supervised by the canteen committee consisting of teachers and the Students Union. The college canteen serves as a pleasant eating and meeting place for students.

Garden:

The College is proud of its beautiful lawns, plants, and flowers which regularly win trophies from the university. A herbal garden is also maintained. The composting kit within the college premises provides manure for the gardens. Students are encouraged to keep the front lawns clean and untrodden.

Alumnae Association:

The active Maitreyi Alumni Association regularly organizes get-togethers, panel discussions, and career counselling events on the college premises. A nominal one-time enrolment fee is charged in the final year from those students who are interested.

Maitreyi College Admission

Maitreyi College admissions are based on Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores conducted by NTA. Candidates seeking admission to UG programs are required to appear for the CUET UG examination followed by the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. 

Once the CUET results are out, the registration process will begin on Delhi University’s admission portal- - admission. und.ac.in. Candidates qualifying for the CUET UG exam, need to register themselves and submit their program and college choices. Apart from that, Seat Allocation cum admission will be done through the CSAS portal. Maitreyi College provides 50% of the total seats reserved for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD category candidates.
