Malnad College of Engineering was established in 1960 as a collaborative venture between the Government of India, the Government of Karnataka, and the Malnad Technical Education Society. The college is an autonomous college, which is approved by the AICTE. Malnad College of Engineering is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. Malnad College of Engineering is accredited by NAAC. The courses of MCE Hassan are accredited by the NBA. The campus of Malnad College of Engineering is spread over an area of 41 acres and it has 169 faculty members in total. Malnad College of Engineering has a boys' hostel. The hostel is well-equipped, with a modern kitchen and a large dining hall that can accommodate roughly 260 students for lunch or dinner at any given time. The three blocks, Hoysala, Hemavathi, and Hasanamba, house about 600 to 650 students in 324 rooms. There is an internet browsing center on the hostel campus.

Girls Hostel

Malnad College of Engineering there is a girls' hostel. Around 250 students are accommodated in a four-story structure. The students are provided with all necessary accommodation amenities. In the hostel premises, students have access to Wi-Fi. Additionally, students have access to a bus service that transports them from their hostel to their college.

Placement

On campus, there is a full-fledged office for the Training and Placement department. The department features a private boardroom and five-panel rooms with all of the necessary equipment to conduct campus hiring programs. B.E Computer Science and Engineering, B.E Mechanical Engineering, B.E Information Science Engineering, M.Tech Computer Aided Design of Structures, M.Tech Industrial Automation and Robotics, M.Sc Engineering by Research Mathematics, and other Malnad College of Engineering courses are available for admission. MCE Hassan UG Admission Process 

Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in 10+2, as well as one of the following disciplines: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subject, Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/Business Studies, with a minimum of 45% (40% for reserved candidates).

OR a 45% diploma in Engineering and Technology (40% for reserved category candidates).

MCE Hassan PG Admission Process 

A B.E/B.Tech degree (E&C/E&TC/Telecommunications/IT/CS&E) with the specified qualifying examination and an aggregate score of at least 50% in the examinations considered for class declaration.

Candidates who obtained their bachelor's degree from a university outside of Karnataka must obtain and submit a certificate of eligibility from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum.
