Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering (MITE) was established in 2007. The institute offers B.E, M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D. courses in various disciplines.
Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering offers B.E in 6 specializations. Applicants should have 50% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject as one of the optional.
For admission, the institute prepares the merit list of all the eligible candidates who hold a valid JEE Main score. The merit list of the selected candidates will be prepared according to their scores.
The institute offers M.Tech and MBA at the PG level in 7 and 5 specializations each. Candidates must have passed B.E/B.Tech from with 50% marks to be eligible for M.Tech. For MBA, the candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university.
For admission in M.Tech, applicants must have a valid score in GATE. Applicants having a valid CMAT score can apply for MBA admissions.

Candidates will have to produce valid GATE and CMAT score card and other relevant documents in original for verification.
One set of self-attested photocopy of all documents together with the signed printout of registration form with the locked choices, reporting form and proof of the fee payment should be available with the candidate at the time of reporting.
Candidates need to complete the Institute Counseling procedures.
Mangalore Institute offers Ph.D. in 4 specializations. Candidates who score 60% aggregate marks M.Sc in the concerned disciplines, can apply. Applicants with B.E/ B.Tech in the concerned disciplines with 7.0 CGPA or 65% marks in aggregate are also eligible to apply.
Admissions will be based on the Research Entrance Exam conducted by MITE. Selected candidates will have to appear for the Personal Interview round.
Key points:
Candidates who are in final year of the qualifying degree can also apply. However, they need to submit their provisional certificate on or before August 16.
