The trust has been registered under registration act. (D.NO 315 of 1995 dated 6th November 1995).the main aim of the trust is to educate the rural people and to improve their economic status. In 2013 the trust is involved in upliftment of the youth of rural by providing them the opportunities for higher education and established a chain of educational institutions. 

The founder’s vision is to making this institution a center of academic excellence in the areas of science and engineering education, transmitting moral values with focus on the development of rural people. The establishment of the college fulfills his long cherished desire of providing access to high quality technical education to the aspiring youth of this area.

LIBRARY:

Two elements define an outstanding library: great resources and the right atmosphere. The MCE Library offers our students both factors.With a catalogue of over 10,090 volumes and 4088 titles, the library offers students a wealth of knowledge resources to aid in their quest for knowledge. The library stocks number of journals 72 and number of magazines 8 to keep students abreast of the latest findings and research. To add to the wealth of options, MCE also has institutional membership in the DELNET (Developing Library Network, New Delhi).

TRANSPORT:

There are 23 college buses run through different routes for the use of staff and students in and around Madurai.

There are buses of TNSTC connecting Periyar bus stand and our college. Besides, there are buses from Arapalayam bus stand to Paravai (frequency of 10 mins.There are mini buses which connect our college and guru theatre, samayanaloor, sholavandhan, alanganaloor and vadipatti.

Sports: 

The College provides sports facilities to students and has a football field, volleyball court, cricket circle. In addition to this, standard track, high jump, as well as small jump pit, are also available. Recreation room is also there for playing chess, table tennis, carom etc. 

Placement

Training and Placement Cell is functioning with Training & Placement Officer, three Talent Development Officers along with one staff member as co-ordinator from each department and student representatives as members of Training and Placement Cell. Admission

The selection in B. E. programme is on the basis of TNEA (Tamil Nadu engineering admission). Also, its important for the candidate to fulfil the criteria of the course in order to proceed with the applying process. Eligibility criteria is Passed 10+2 with PCM. 

Scholarship

The College provides scholarship opportunities to needy and deserving students. Full tuition fee waiver to merit students who score above 500 marks Tuition fee waiver of 50% for first graduates.For SC/ST students, complete fee is free,For sports person, special fee concession.
