Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Directorate of Distance Education, Hyderabad, Telangana, is a philanthropic institution that has given thousands of underprivileged, Urdu-speaking people access to education in India. Established in 1998, and ever since then have founded 9 Regional Centres and 5 Sub-Regional Centres across several cities in India. They provide academic support to students through 161 Study Centres under the administrative wings of these RCs and SRCs. 

The Institute is NAAC accredited with an 'A' grade twice, and Outlook - ICARE rankings 2020 placed the university as the 24th best central university in India. 

The University's DDE currently offers five undergraduate and six postgraduate courses and two diploma and certificate courses.

Library

The Library is fully automated with KOHA-a Library Management Open Source Software and also Institutional Repository with Dspace software. It is also having the rich collection of World Bank publications as the only Depository Library of the World Bank which helps to enhance the knowledge of researchers in the world scenario.

Total collection of the library is nearly 50,000 volumes which include working papers, monographs, theses, annual reports of the centre and other institutes. The library is equipped with widely acclaimed statistical reports, reference books and textbooks. Nearly 120 print journals are subscribed by the Library in addition to the online databases.

Auditorium

MANUUDDE has a state of art well equipped auditorium. It houses most of our national and international conferences, seminars and workshops and can accommodate 220 participants. The auditorium premises also have a seminar hall with a seating capacity of 70 and a dining hall.

Computer Laboratory

All the faculty, research staff and administration have individual systems with network facility. A separate computer lab exists in the first floor of the library to cater to the needs of the students. The lab is equipped with statistical packages and ARC GIS.

Canteen

Canteen in the premises of MANUUDDE provides beverages and simple meals at subsidised rates. The Canteen also provides catering services on payment basis for academic programmes.

Scholarships

This is a Government institution and it has minimal fees so you don't need scholarship. You can fill MOMA scholarship which get easily verified by university . You can also opt for other scholarships provided by the central government.

Placement

The institute is well equipped with excellent infrastructure to support all the stages of the placement proMANUUDDE viz., pre-placement talk, written test, group discussion, and personal interviews. It provides unbiased information, advice, and guidance to first help students understand themselves and the employment market and then plan and prepare for their future by developing suitable career-related skills and knowledge. Admission

UG Eligibility Criteria

Passed 10 + 2 Examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with English as one of the languages of study. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case candidate belongs to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

PG Eligibility Criteria

A pass in Bachelor of Arts with a minimum of 45% aggregate with a minimum of 50% in the Concerned subject as one of the optional. For SC/ST students it is 40%.
