Procedure For Admission Into The Diploma Courses:- Admission 2023-24

a) Individuals aspiring for admission to any of the Diploma courses must participate in the Common Entrance Test for admissions into Polytechnics (POLYCET), conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada.

b) Candidates desiring admission should have appeared for the S.S.C examination, administered by the Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh, or an equivalent examination, at the time of applying for the Common Entrance Test for admissions into Polytechnics (POLYCET). For candidates awaiting the results of their Qualifying Examinations, their selection is contingent upon presenting proof of passing the qualifying examination in one attempt or compartmentally at the time of admission.

c) Admission decisions are based on the merit acquired in the Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) and adhere to the reservation rules outlined by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as per prevailing regulations.

Infrastructure at M.B.T.S. Government Polytechnic (MBTSGP), Guntur

MBTS Government Polytechnic College has the capacity to accommodate a total of 576 students across all its courses. The institute boasts a well-equipped campus featuring facilities such as an auditorium, boys' hostel, cafeteria, girls' hostel, gym, hospital/medical facilities, labs, library, sports complex, and a Wi-Fi-enabled campus.

The institute provides hostel facilities with a total capacity of 180 students, comprising 120 beds in the boys' hostel and 60 beds in the girls' hostel.

M.B.T.S. Government Polytechnic (MBTSGP) offers a vast collection of books, journals, and magazines in its library to enhance the knowledge of its students. Additionally, Wi-Fi connectivity is available in the hostel, library, and seminar halls, facilitating easy access to online resources.

Transportation facilities are provided within Krishna and its suburbs, ensuring convenience for students commuting to and from the institute.

MBTSGP organizes mandatory general medical checkup camps for all members of the college community. Other facilities available include sports amenities, a gym, and computer labs.

Scholarships are available for financially disadvantaged students. Applicants need to submit caste certificates as per government regulations, income verification, and other educational certificates along with the application form obtainable from the college office.

Furthermore, plans are underway to establish a canteen offering refreshments at reasonable rates, with a focus on maintaining a healthy environment and providing clean refreshments. MBTSGP was established in the academic year 1960-61 with the aim of offering a 3-year Diploma in Engineering.
