The MEMBER SREE NARAYANA PILLAI INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY was founded by the MSN Trust in the fond memory of Member Sree Narayana Pillai (1928-1982). Born in Madappally, one of the most backward villages in Chavara in North Kollam. Member Sree Narayana Pillai had made a discernible mark in the social and educational scene. As an industrialist and social activist, one of his greatest dreams was to transform his village and adjoining regions by advancing the cause of education. Member Sree Narayana Pillai Institute of Management and Technology was born as a dream come true of the TRUSTEES. MSNIMT is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees. The Trust also manages several other Educational Institutions. The Trustees are Shri. N. Rajan Pillai (Managing Trustee), Shri. S Ramakrishna Pillai, Shri. N. Chandran Pillai, Shri. N. The Virtual Lab facility by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is an online platform that provides students and researchers with access to virtual simulations and experiments in various scientific and technical disciplines. The platform offers a range of virtual laboratory tools and simulations that enable students to conduct experiments and perform hands-on learning in a safe and controlled environment.

A fully automated modern Library & Information Centre (LIC) is on its way to becoming an outstanding learning resource centre catering to the ever-growing and uncompromising information and intellectual requirements of the students and faculty.

Computers are transforming our culture by fundamentally changing the way we live, work and do business. The computer lab at MSNIMT is provided with the most modern equipment and systems. The communication lab has highly sophisticated hardware and software resources, all interconnected with LAN. In-house Internal access is also provided at the lab. 

Communication Lab : 

The lab is provided with the most modern audio-visual amenities to enhance communication. The academic block has spacious lecture halls, several classrooms and many syndicate rooms. The lecture halls and classrooms are equipped with state of the art audio - visual facilities which give an inspiring ambience for the teaching process. 

Hostels. 

The campus has two hostels that provide accommodation to students with modern amenities and recreation facilities. All the hostels have separate wardens and security staff. The hostels are provided with a separate phone facility. For the visitors, the institute provides guest rooms. The guest rooms will be charged at a nominal rate as applicable from time to time. 

The Hotel Vijaya Castle(3 star) & The Hotel Vijaya Palace ( 3 Star) which belongs to MSN Trust provides accommodation to executives coming for Management Development Programmes and also to the visiting faculties. The State Bank Of Travancore, The Federal Bank and The ING-Vysya Bank have branches near to the institute. In addition to the normal banking facilities, it also provides loan facilities to needy students. ICICI bank, Federal Bank & S.B.T operates A T M Centres near the college. A post office is also located near the campus. 

Medical Facilities 

The institute has got tied up with Upasana Hospital, Kollam. Special privilege is given to the students from this institute for consultation between the specified hours on all working days. For emergencies, a doctor call facility is also available on campus.

Placement:

Students must go through an internship programme and an 8-10 week summer training with industries/businesses/ service organizations and do a project study.
