The first self-funded, industry-founded engineering college in Kerala is located on the beautiful and peaceful banks of the Nila or Bharathapuzha. It was founded in 1994 as a minority institution. Widely recognized as one of the leading technical education institutions in the country, the college offers admission to all categories of students, with an emphasis on backward educational backgrounds. Over 2,000 students study at the college under the guidance of qualified and dedicated faculty and research mentors. The college is well-run by visionary academics and industrialists. Library: 

MES COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, KUTTIPPURAM was founded in 1994. The central library also had humble beginnings with the college Located in the heart of the campus, it is the intellectual center of the college, connecting students and ideas. With its tranquil atmosphere and well-lit study rooms, it is a center for academic research. The library acquires, organizes, and makes documents available in various formats; creates a physical environment conducive to user inquiry, and encourages the use of the library as a source of lifelong learning. The college provides a Book Bank facility for economically backward students. Each department of the College is equipped with a departmental library. Having a total collection of 68000+ Volumes of books, 26000+ Unique titles amounting to 4.5 Crores, and 150+ Journals relevant in the field of Engineering Technology, Architecture, and Management; the library caters to the requirements of the academic community as a whole. The library is fully automated with a bar-code facility. The Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) allows library users to search for information independently from anywhere on campus. A copy service is also available in the library.

Hostels: 

The college residences are placed under the general direction and control of the Co-Secretary of the MESCE. Teacher. CP Muhammad (formerly HoD, Department of Mechanical Engineering, MESCE) is an academic and administrator with 45 years of experience. A separate hostel for boys and girls is planned to offer students a comfortable atmosphere to work and play, like a home away from home. The 600-bed Men's Hostel (MH) is located off-campus about 500m from Main Block, near the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture. The Ladies Hostel (LH) with a capacity of 500 beds is situated within the main block campus. 

The students are provided with shared rooms, which they share with their batchmates. The first years are provided with a separate block, with separate facilities for both MH and LH, to ensure their comfort and safety. Adequate common toilet facilities are provided on every floor. 

The hostel opening and closing time for LH during weekdays is 6 am and 6 pm respectively and for MH it is 6 am and 8 pm respectively. At the weekend, students must leave the dormitories beforehand.
