B.TECH Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India for general category admission.

Age: Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on last December 31st.

Academic Requirements: Candidates are eligible for admission if they have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with at least 45% of their total marks in the required subjects—mathematics and physics—and chemistry as one of their electives. The candidate's Computer Science grades will be taken into consideration if they haven't studied Chemistry. The candidate's biotechnology grades will be taken into consideration if they haven't studied computer science or chemistry. Marks in Biology will be taken into consideration if the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science, or Biotechnology. The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility. Rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted.

Entrance Examination: Candidates must place in the KEAM Rank List and receive a minimum of 10 marks in both Paper I and Paper II of the Engineering Entrance Exam, which is administered by the Kerala government's Commissioner of Entrance Exams.

Supernumerary Quota for Overseas Indian Citizens (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Foreign Nationals (FN), and Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC): A student or someone with "housewife" status on their visa cannot be sponsored by a Visiting Visa holder. It is necessary to have either parent's job certificate on business letterhead.

NRI Quota: The Management is entitled to fill up 15% of seats in the NRI category (NRI) by admitting qualified students who are Sons and Daughters of Non-Resident Indians. These students are advised to qualify (a minimum of 10 marks each in Paper I and Paper II) in the Engineering Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala(KEAM) and should be listed in the KEAM Rank List. Exemptions are based on their academic eligibility as stipulated by AICTE, Govt of Kerala, and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU). Required: Father’s / Mother’s / Sponsor's Visa copy in English Language. (Translated to English)

M.TECH Eligibility Criteria

The candidates shall be an Indian national.

The candidates must to have completed their graduate studies at a school recognized by the AICTE or Deemed Universities.

A minimum of 60% overall in the Engineering Degree test is required of candidates. It is sufficient for SC/ST candidates to pass the Engineering Degree course. A minimum of 54% of total points in the Engineering Degree test is required for SEBC students.

Candidates, who have passed the AMIE / AMIETE Examinations and satisfy the following conditions, are eligible for admission. They must have a valid GATE score. A minimum of 55% marks for section B in the AMIE/AMIETE examination. Minimum three years of Professional experience in the field of Specialization after acquiring the qualifying degree.

Normally, admission will only be granted to individuals who have a legitimate GATE score. This need is less stringent when it comes to sponsored applicants, though.

Candidates from Kerala State who do not possess a valid GATE score may be considered for any vacancies that may arise from a shortage of eligible candidates. Candidates from other states may be considered for admission if there are still open seats.
