Courses offered:

The institute aims to offer young, aspirant filmmakers an interdisciplinary and dynamic milieu where they learn technical skills and critical awareness of advancements in film making viz. film direction, film editing, acting for films, cinematography, sound design, product design & art direction, VFX & animation and screenwriting. 

Facilities and Infrastructure:

The Institute provides state-of-the-art facilities with a well-equipped infrastructure for the smooth and continuous learning experience of the students. Each classroom is specially designed adhering to the principles of knowledge and understanding with audio-visual aids. Well-equipped studios are designed for an enriching learning experience: Chroma Studio: A well-equipped chroma studio with all the essential equipment like a teleprompter, microphones, cameras, professional lights, editing bay, and computer system is available to provide hands-on training to students.

Editing Studio:

MGM Film Art’s Alfred Hitchcock Edit Bay is a visual editing studio comprising five individual studios with the setup of Final Cut Pro X software installed in the systems

Sound Studio:

For acquiring an amazing audio recording experience for the students we have Amadeus Symphony Studio, a sound recording studio with Protools, Logic Pro X software, and technical facilities such as on-location sound, dubbing, and Foley.

Color Lab:

We have a Da Vinci Color Lab with DI & Mastering facilities as well as Davinci’s Resolve Color Grading Panel for the perfect blend of colors in the final product.

VFX & Animation Lab:

We have a special Lab for VFX and animation with Maya, Aftereffect, and 3D max software for a wonderful experience in practical training.

Preview Theatre:

Chitrapati Dr. V. Shantaram Theatre, a preview theatre with 4k projection and 9.2.1 Dolby sound system enhances the experience of the students in previewing their skill-full practical. Bergman’s Courtyard: Bergman’s Courtyard is an open stage provided to the students for shooting purposes. The space is well equipped with green potted plants, artificial water fountains, and lush green, and serene ambiance which stands testimony to be perfect outdoor scenery that will make an appealing shot for the student’s practical.

MGM Film City:

With a vast expanse of outdoor location spread across 36 acres of land, MGM Film City incorporates a stage with a dimension of 6500 square feet constructed at Padegaon along with Art Inventory which provides all the faculties like carpentry, welding, molding, props, costume library, and well equipped green rooms. 

Cameras and light equipment:

Blackmagic super 35mm Ursa mini, Blackmagic super 35mm pocket camera, Compact Prime Lens kit (CP3), Professional Tripods, Camera trolley and tracks (Round & Straight), Complete lights setup up to 5k, Chroma cloth (Green), Camera Gimbal, Video assist monitors

Sports Club & Stadium:

A well-maintained stadium will all the amenities required in sports and games is situated at our University to organize various indoor, outdoor sports activities and events.
