Michael Madhusudan Memorial College was established in 1996 in the memory of Michael Madhusudan, a great scholar and literary figure of English Literature. This college is assessed and accredited by NAAC in Cycle 2 with Grade ‘B’ and 2.40 CGPA. It is affiliated to the University of Burdwan. This undergraduate college has a good beginning with the traditional courses in arts and commerce. Admission to the college is done on the basis of marks secured in the previous qualifying examination.

Residential Accommodations:Hostel:
At present, there is one hostel on the college campus. This hostel can accommodate about twenty students. Boarders are selected strictly on the basis of their academic performance, the distance of the College from their native places, and their moral bearings. Boarders must have to abide by the rules and regulations enforced by the Hostel Committee of the College, failing which their boarders are liable to be canceled.
Computer Center:
MMMC is working towards a vision of creating dynamic and proficient engineers who are technically and holistically prepared for the world. Looking at this, they provide their students with computer proficiency classes to incorporate modern-day technical values. The institute possesses air-conditioned computer laboratories with 24-hour internet Facilities free of cost to its students. The internet facility provided at the laboratories is through radio frequency with a 4 mbps internet Leased line.
Auditorium:
The college has a girls' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. etc.
Library:
The library holds more than 3000 volumes, subscriptions to current journal titles and publishing houses, and print collections including books and reference materials. The IRD has more than 150 publications, including research articles, reviews, and book chapters of national & international repute. The University has a provision for three Central Instrumental Laboratories.
Laboratories:
The Science departments like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Microbiology, Zoology, Geography, and BCA have well-equipped laboratories, which are upgraded from time to time.
Virtual Classrooms:
Virtual Class Room- This facility of this college creates a teaching and learning environment where participants can interact, communicate, view, and discuss presentations, and engage with learning resources while working in groups, all in an online setting. The setup allows video-conferencing applications that enable multiple users to be connected at the same time through the Internet, which allows students to interact with teachers from other institutes globally. This room also provides all the necessary facilities of ICT) based teaching.
Smart Classrooms:
Smart Class Room- This room has a capacity of eighty students. This is equipped with state-of-art interactive whiteboards which allow faculties to compile teaching materials like notes, images, and other media into virtual notebooks which can be projected and edited using the Smart Board itself. This accompanies by high-end remote sensing (WiFi-based) projector. These help the students to improve their retentive memory and which is a part of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) based teaching in this college.
Placement Cell:
The college has a Placement Cell of its own and it has been playing a vital role. Many students are finding job opportunities through off and on-campus interviews with various companies. After passing through grueling interviews, students of this college are selected and offered lucrative jobs. The college envisions more interviews for the students in the years to come. Many students of our college are selected every year by the Wipro Group, IBM, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Future General Insurance, etc.
Gymnasium:
A healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Keeping this truth in mind, a sophisticated gymnasium has been set up, and the students can avail themselves of its modern facilities with different types of equipment like a Square Weight Stand, Jogger, Electronic Cycle, Multi-gym Twelve Stations, Multi-Purpose Bench, etc.
CCTV Surveillance:
CCTV cameras have been installed in nodal positions within the College to monitor discipline and maintain the security of the campus.
Sports:
The college provides its students with games and sports facilities. The college arranges indoor games like carom and chess. The outdoor games section has a badminton court, volleyball court, cricket, football playground, etc. The college holds its Annual sports on its own playground in the month of December every year. Besides this, the college participates in various Inter-College as well as Intra-University sports meet and has many prizes to its credit. It deserves mention that in 2012 our College Cricket team has become Runner-Up in the inter-college sports meet and became runner-up at the state-level football games. In the field of athletics, our students prove their excellence. Our students participated in table tennis at the National level in 2010. The college has hosted the Annual Athlete Meet, prize distribution, and closing ceremony of The Kazi Nazrul University for the academic year 2015-2016. The college also conducted intra college Cricket Tournament in January 2017 and won the first prize.
Wi-Fi Zone:
The college has Wi-fi facilities and internet connections in the Office, Staffroom, Library, and lab-based Departments.
Medical Facilities:
The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
