Miranda College of Nursing was established in the year 2002 under the banner of Miranda Education Society. The College is Affiliated with RGUHS, Recognized by Govt of Karnataka, and approved by Karnataka Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council. MCN LABORATORIES

Anatomy & Physiology Lab

It is designed to assist students in acquiring knowledge of the normal structure of the human body. The lab is equipped with various models, specimens, skeletons, and all kinds of bones, charts, etc.

MCN Nursing Foundation Lab

To provide comprehensive nursing care to the clients admitted to hospitals, students will be given preliminary training in Patient care at the college laboratory. We have 10 beds, and each bed is provided with a complete bed unit. There are two technologically advanced manikins, teaching and learning aids, and various other equipment models, and charts for the quality learning of the students.

MCN MCH Lab

The lab has well-equipped instruments, Dummies, articles, and other required specimens as per INC requirements, which provides simulation and practice skills on various procedures to the students. MCH Lab gives an opportunity to become competent and more confident and less liable to commit accidents and mistakes during their real practical situations.

MCN Nutrition Lab

The subject of nutrition is designed to assist students to acquire knowledge for the maintenance of optimum health at different stages of life. Our Nutrition lab is well established with all facilities for the preparation of different food items. Types of Diet as per the client's therapeutic Diet needs.

MCN Community Health Nursing Lab

A simulated home environment allows nursing students to practice their common health skills in a life-like scenario. It is designed for students to develop skills in primary care for the individual’s families and groups in both urban and rural settings. The Lab is equipped with a well-arranged community bag for each candidate for treating minor health problems. The lab is also equipped with various models, charts, necessary articles, and instruments for health assessment.

MCN LIBRARY

Miranda Library and information center. We are indeed proud to say that we are having a library that is considered to be the best in the Nursing field. We have secured nearly 3000 and above volumes on various subjects of the syllabus and other general interests and also continue to get a number of Indian and foreign Nursing journals. The Library is computerized with effect from 2007 and we are subscribed for e-journals and e-books. Internet facilities have been provided to access the online library collections and any things related to the user's area of study and research.

HALLS OF UTILITY

MCN Auditorium

A big 1000 seated well ventilated well- lighted room was built to enable an audience to hear and watch performances like seminars, workshops, and various cultural activities.

MCN LCD Room / Seminar Hall

A 100 seated well furnished, well-ventilated, and equipped with the latest educational technology projectors and LED screens. The ambiance is made learner-friendly to give a comfortable learning experience.

The Classrooms are spacious, well ventilated & well furnished.

MCN Hostel Facilities

The institution provides residential hostels to the boy and girls' students separately. The residential hostel is managed by a teacher-warden appointed by the Principal. Right of admission and right of expulsion rest with the authorities.

MCN Hostel Regulations

Students are allowed to go out once a month for shopping and back by 6-00 pm, visitors are allowed only on Sundays between 2 pm to 5 pm. Once a month only. No student will be permitted to stay outside the hostel with relatives or friends

MCN BSC NURSING COLLEGE ADMISSION IN BANGALORE

Eligibility for Bsc Nursing Direct Admission

A Candidate seeking admission shall have:-

A pass in the 10th/+2 Examination.

Pass in Two year PUC equivalent recognized by RGUHS with Science subjects viz. Physics, Biology, Chemistry.

Obtained 45% marks in Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and English. In the case of SC/ST/OBC, relaxed to 40%.

Age - completed 17 Years.

Fair knowledge of English is essential. Should be physically fit with sound mental health.

MCN ADMISSION FOR P.B B.SC NURSING COLLEGES

Eligibility for Admission to PB BSc Nursing College in Bangalore

A Candidate seeking admission for Nursing shall have:-

Be a registered nurse.

Hold a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM).

MCN ADMISSION FOR M.SC NURSING

Eligibility for Admission to MSc Nursing in Bangalore

A Candidate seeking admission shall have:-

A pass in B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) / Post Certificate B.Sc Nursing of RGUHS, Bangalore / any other University accepted as equivalent by RGUHS.

Aggregate marks in B.Sc Nursing to be not less than 50% for SC / ST, and 55% for others.

Minimum one year experience for B.Sc Nursing (Basic).

No such experience is required after (post-basic).

Registration in State Nursing Council.

Fair knowledge of English is essential.

Should be physically fit with sound mental health.

MCN ADMISSION FOR G.N.M NURSING

Eligibility Criteria Nursing admission

A Candidate seeking admission shall have:-

The minimum and Maximum ages for admission will be 17 and 35 years. There is no age bar for ANM/LHV.

Minimum education:

10+2 class passed preferably Science (PCB) & English with an aggregate of 40% marks.

10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.

10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board with 40% marks.

Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.

The student shall be medically fit.

Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY conducted by National Institute of Open School with 40% marks.
