MIT College of Food Technology is the final result of the awesome and excessive visions of Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad. It was established in the year 2006 with the aim to bring India one step ahead in the sector of food processing in a way that is both qualitative and quantitative. The college is founded under MAEER (Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational Research which is spreading education in a number of fields for the last 29 years such as food technology, medicine, pharmacy, design, engineering, and lots more fields are covered by MAEER.

The menu of the canteen contains a varied range of food items ranging from snacks and beverages to breakfast and lunch. Along with that, students avail banking conveniences with an ATM center on college premises. They can carry out banking transactions very easily and conveniently.

The College authority is concerned about the health and well-being of its students. Therefore, there are fully-integrated dispensaries available with experienced doctors and an ambulance is available 24*7 in case of any emergency.

The college takes every effort to encourage our students to participate in various social, cultural, and sports activities. The college has its own cricket, football, and volleyball grounds indoor game facilities are also provided. Our students have participated and won a number of prizes at the Inter-Collegiate, University, State, and National levels. MIT Pune has successfully organized several sports tournaments including Inter-Engineering Athletic Meets, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis tournaments, Zonal level Boxing, Badminton, Chess tournaments and Inter-Professional College Volleyball, Basketball tournaments, and so on.
