Mizoram University Facilities

Mizoram University boasts a well-established infrastructure ecosystem, catering to various student needs such as medical emergencies and access to the gymnasium. Continuous efforts are underway to enhance the infrastructure further and achieve the desired outcomes.

Central Library:

Mizoram University's state-of-the-art library has earned accolades from NAAC, positioning it as one of the best libraries in Eastern India. Recognized for its eco-friendly and disability-friendly features, the library distinguishes itself among its peers. In addition to housing numerous journal papers, e-books, and physical books, the library incorporates modern technologies such as RFID, WebOPAC, Self-service check-in, and computerized Braille for visually impaired students.

Sports:

Mizoram University hosts two major sports events annually—the Inter-college Sports event and the university's own annual sports day. Complementing these events, the university provides sports facilities including a gym, football ground, basketball court, and table tennis court. These amenities, coupled with the enthusiastic sportsmanship of the students, have led the university to achieve recognition at both regional and national levels.

Health Centre:

Equipped with three doctors and four nurses, Mizoram University Health Center is supported by six additional staff members operating in various capacities to ensure prompt emergency response and treatment. The facility accommodates mini-operations and various types of tests. Moreover, during sports events and other activities, the health center serves as an integral medical team, providing assistance for injuries sustained during events such as Inter-college sports or the annual sports day.
