Model Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 1996 following the approval of AICTE was granted, making it the very first engineering school within the private sector of J&K. However the first batch of students were admitted in 1999 following the formulation of policies by the J&K Government that govern higher technical education.

Smt. Shanti Gupta Scholarship (For Girls)

The Merit-cum-Means Scholarship will be awarded to five girls in college for Rs.1000 per month for a period of 10 months when the income of their guardians is not less than 2.25 lac per year.

In the case of MBA 3rd/4th Semester: One scholarship will be awarded to students of the MBA 3rd/4th Semester who have completed all of the classes in the second and first semester at the time of application and has received the most marks on aggregate during two semesters, the initial and subsequent semesters.

In the case of MCA 3rd/4th Semester: One scholarship is awarded to students of the MCA 3rd/4th Semester who have completed all courses in the second and first semester when they submit their application and has received the most marks on aggregate during the second and first semesters.

To be used for BE 5th/6th Semester(ECE): One scholarship to students in the BE 5th/6th Semester who have completed all of the classes from 1st to 4th semester when they submit their application and has received the top marks overall from the 1st through fourth semester.

The scholarship is for BE 5th/6th Semester (CSE): One Scholarship for students of BE 5th/6th Semester who have successfully completed all courses from the first through fourth semester at the time of application and who has the top marks overall between the first and fourth semesters.

To be used for BE 5th/6th Semester(EE/IT): One scholarship to students in BE 5th/6th semester who have completed all of the classes from the first semester to fourth semester when they submit their application and who has the most marks in aggregate between the first and fourth semesters.

Sh. H.L. Gupta Scholarship (For Boys)
