Facilities and Infrastructure

The field demands a thorough understanding of drugs, formulations, dosages, and effects. At Mohamed Sathak A.J. College of Pharmacy, with its well build infrastructural facilities, this is achieved by ensuring an unshakable foundation in both theoretical and practical concepts. Classroom learning is complemented with practical sessions in state-of-the-art laboratories and research centers. Students are also trained in the hospitals and industry where?—?through observation and practice?—?they actively participate in treatment plans, thereby developing a deeper knowledge of their field. The Faculty’s comprehensive approach to education also includes a strong focus on research. Students are also made to focus in curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities which help them grow strong both mentally and physically with healthy competitive skills.

Residential Accommodations:

Separate hostel facilities are provided by the management for both boys and girls. Boys hostel is located within the campus itself. The capacity of the hostel is 450. Its functions including the discipline of the inmates are managed by a team of staff members along with higher officials. Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian food will be served. Shuttle badminton courts are located inside the hostel. A separate gym is provided for the benefit of the students.

Sahar and If tar arrangements are also made for the inmates during the month of Ramzan to observe fasting. Medical care during emergencies is also provided to the students. Generator facility is also available to meet the power cuts and shutdown.

The ladies hostel for girls is located outside the college in Sholinganallur separately with all facilities. Free Transport arrangement is provided for pick up and drop from the hostel to college. Library with religious and other important books is available for the benefit of the inmates. Medical care during emergencies is also provided for all the inmates. Generator facility is also available to meet the power cuts and shutdown.

A beautiful mosque is located at the college premises for making prayer. Five times prayer is conducted along with Jumma prayer on Friday in the mosque. If tar arrangements are also provided in the mosque to break the fasting during Ramzan month.For girl students and lady staff separate prayer hall facility is provided in the college itself for daily prayers.

Indian Overseas Bank and its ATM is located in the college premises for the benefit of students and staff. The students can remit their college and other fees in the bank easily and use the ATM facility to draw the money easily without wasting their valuable time unnecessarily in standing long queues.

MTC bus passes, Railway concessions, and Air Concessions are also provided to all the students to come and return to their home conveniently. For further details the students may contact the office.

An auditorium with a capacity of 600 people is located within the college premises. The facilities such as LCD Projector for presentations, elaborate Audio arrangements are provided for the conduct of functions such as Seminar & Symposia efficiently.

With a view to inculcate high values of morality, humanism, harmony and amity in the students, the college offers Deeniyath and Moral instructions. Sense of morality and ethics makes one, healthy in mind and body. It also helps him to analyze good and bad in right earnest and steers him towards righteousness and honesty. The classes are conducted and all the students are expected to benefit from them.

General lectures on selected topics shall be arranged once in a month. Popular speakers shall address the students in the meetings and shall clarify doubts in the Question-Answer session after the lecture.At the end of the academic year, an examination shall be held. Prizes shall be distributed to the toppers in the examination.

The canteen is located adjacent to the main building of the college. A variety of South Indian food and snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college with the highest quality. Canteen staff take extra care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food in the canteen.
