Students at the college receive excellent exposure to a wide range of patients across various departments, including locomotor handicapped training at the Department of Physical Medicine and Orthopedics, cardiothoracic rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, burns, plastic surgery & hand rehabilitation, rheumatology, leprosy rehabilitation, sports fitness, OBG, and community rehabilitation. This clinical skill acquisition is facilitated through tie-ups with leading government and private hospitals.
Library:
The college library serves as a cornerstone in supporting educational and research programs, providing both physical and intellectual access to information. It features a well-maintained reference section, journal section, and reading hall, boasting a unique collection of encyclopedias, handbooks, textbooks, journals, video cassettes, and CDs. Fully computerized and automated, the library offers various modules such as acquisitions, cataloging, circulation, serial control, article indexing, and OPAC. Additionally, it actively participates in the inter-library loan system, sharing resources with other libraries and holding memberships with esteemed institutions like the British Council Library and TN Dr. MGR Medical University. The library is equipped with an access system for all students and staff, internet-based online public access, catalogue (OPAC) facility, internet access, photocopier facility, online e-journal access, institutional memberships, book bank facility for SC/ST students, and reprographic facility, boasting a total volume of 2752, with international and national journals and magazines.
Hostel:
The college provides separate men's and ladies' hostels to create a conducive residential environment for professional students. Hygienic and delicious meals, catering to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences, are offered at an affordable cost. Additionally, a transport facility is available, connecting students to all parts of the city.
Extra-curricular Activities:

The admission procedure for BPT and MPT courses at the college involves obtaining application forms directly from the institution during specific periods. For the BPT course, applications are available from March, while for the MPT course, they are available from November each year. Candidates shortlisted for admission need to submit original certificates and photocopies of documents such as mark sheets of X and XII standards, transfer certificates, community certificates, physical fitness certificates, and blood group reports, among others. Additionally, overseas students must provide attested mark sheets, conversion equivalency letters, migration certificates, eligibility certificates from The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, council registrations (if any), valid passports, student visas, and a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Embassy/Consulate of their country in India.
The scholarship will be awarded based on either merit or financial need, and the final decision rests with the management. Renewal of the scholarship will depend on the student's performance in higher studies. The scholarship can cover tuition fees, other fees, bus fees, or hostel fees. Applicants must include copies of their income certificate, community certificate, and higher secondary examination mark sheet with their application; failure to do so will result in the application not being processed. Completed applications should be submitted to the principal.
For qualified physiotherapists, opportunities abound both domestically and internationally. Beyond private practice, employment prospects include roles in polyclinics, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, homes for the disabled and aged, as well as fitness and health clinics. There's also potential to enter the computer industry as a fitness specialist, particularly after undergoing short training, which is often preferred by physical therapists. Physiotherapy jobs overseas are also available, offering further avenues for career growth. Additionally, physiotherapists can specialize in areas such as therapeutic and diagnostic equipment application, ergonomics consulting, and research and development alongside biomedical engineers. The college operates a placement cell to assist students in securing desirable job opportunities.
