Founded in 2004, the Moodalakatte Institute Of Technology - [MITK], UDUPI led by a philanthropic technocrat, the late IM Jayaram Shetty, and the legendary MNBS Trust has reached out to rural communities as a beacon of hope for technology education.  He became a beacon for those young minds who were less economically privileged but still had big dreams of pursuing a professional engineering degree and becoming entrepreneurs, technocrats, or skilled workers.  MITK also offers postgraduate management courses for engineering and humanities graduates. Founded in 2008, MITK regularly offers graduate studies in management (MBA – Master of Business Administration). This department is under the administrative jurisdiction of the Moodlekatte Institute of Technology.
