BE/B.Tech Admission 2024

The college offers 4 years of full-time BE and B.Tech programs. Admissions are done through the TNEA counseling conducted by Anna

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with 50% marks ( 40% for SC/ST) in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
Other state candidates should have scored 60% marks in the relevant subjects.

Selection Criteria
Candidates are selected based on their merit in the TNEA counseling.
TNEA Merit list is prepared based on the candidate's marks scored in the relevant subjects like Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics at the 10+2 level.
Applicants can participate in the counseling only after the successful payment of the initial deposit. 
According to the payment schedule of the rounds, candidates have to submit the initial counseling fee through an online mode of payment
During counseling, candidates have to fill in the choice of course and college as per their preference.
Post-choice filling, candidates have to lock them.
Seats will be allotted based on merit, choices filled, and seats available.
After the final allotment, candidates have to reach the allotted college before the last date mentioned on the provisional allotment letter

Candidates can apply for TNEA counseling by following the stepwise procedure mentioned below:

  1. Fill out the online form with the correct details by registering on the official website of Anna University
  2. Carefully fill in all the personal and academic details.
  3. Upload recently clicked colored passport-sized photographs, thumb impressions, and signatures. 
  4. Complete the payment process by using a preferred mode.
  5. Keep the application form safe so that it can be used in the later process of selection.
  6. In the case of an offline application, a newly clicked colored passport photograph (not more than 3 months old) is to be pasted. 
  7. Once the application is successfully submitted or completed, candidates have to send it along with the necessary documents to the college.

Selection Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to ME need to appear in TANCET/ GATE exam
A merit list is prepared based on the score obtained by the candidate in any of the exams. 
Candidates whose names will be listed in the merit list are called for TANCA counseling.
Candidates are required to register for TANCA Counselling at the official site of Anna University and fill in the choice of course and college.
The seat will be allotted during this counseling based on rank secured, choices filled, and availability of seats.

How To Apply for TANCET?
Candidates can apply for the TANCET exam by following the stepwise procedure mentioned below:

Candidates need to visit the official website of TANCET and click on ‘TANCET 2024’
Now, Click on the “New User Registration” link and fill in all the details.
Enter the captcha code and click on the checkbox. Then, click on the Submit button.
Login using the credentials and carefully fill in all the details.
Candidates need to Upload recent passport-size photographs.
Now, pay the application fee via online modes of payment.
Verify all the details and submit the application form
